The Province of Silesia was a province of Prussia from 1815 to 1919. The Silesia region was part of the Prussian realm since 1740 and established as an official province in 1815, then became part of the German Empire in 1871. In 1919, as part of the Free State of Prussia within Weimar Germany, Silesia was divided into the provinces of Upper Silesia and Lower Silesia. Silesia was reunified briefly from 1938 to 1941 as a province of Nazi Germany before being divided back into Upper Silesia and Lower Silesia. Breslau was the provincial capital.

    Babia Góra National Park is one of the 23 national parks in Poland, located in the southern part of the country, in Lesser Poland Voivodeship, on the border with Slovakia. The Park has its headquarters in the village of Zawoja. The park covers an area of 33.92 square kilometres , of which forests occupy 31.98 km2 . The park includes the northern and part of the southern side of the Babia Góra massif, of which the main peak is the highest point of the Orava Beskids mountain range at 1,725 metres . There is a protected area Horná Orava Protected Landscape Area on the Slovak side of the massif.
