Skinners Pond is a rural unincorporated community in Prince County, Prince Edward Island, Canada. It is located northwest of the town of Tignish in the township of Lot 1, near the northwestern tip of the province. The primary industries for the area are agriculture and fishing. Skinners Pond traces its name to a small lake of the same name. Originally the settlement was called Skinner Pond, however it was changed to Skinners Pond in 1966; note that there is no apostrophe in the name. Charles Thomas Stompin' Tom Connors, OC was a Canadian country and folk singer-songwriter from Saint John, New Brunswick. Focusing his career exclusively on his native Canada, Connors is credited with writing more than 300 songs and has released four dozen albums, with total sales of nearly 4 million copies.His songs have become part of the Canadian cultural landscape. Three of his best-known songs are Sudbury Saturday Night, Bud the Spud and The Hockey Song; the latter is played at various games throughout the National Hockey League; including at every Toronto Maple Leafs home game. Cavendish is an unincorporated rural community in the township of Lot 23, Queens County, Prince Edward Island, Canada. The community's primary industries are tourism and agriculture supporting a very small year-round population. Cavendish is the largest seasonal resort area in Prince Edward Island with an average daily population in the months of July and August of approximately 7,500 residents. It was also home to Lucy Maud Montgomery, writer of Anne of Green Gables. She said she loved sitting by a window, and writing Anne of Green Gables while looking out the windows onto the fields of Cavendish.

Kouchibouguac National Park is located on the east coast of New Brunswick, in Kouchibouguac. The park includes barrier islands, sand dunes, lagoons, salt marshes and forests. It provides habitat for seabirds, including the endangered piping plover, and the second largest tern colony in North America. Colonies of harbour seals and grey seals also inhabit the park's 25 kilometres of sand dunes. It is also home to the extremely rare and fragile Gulf of St. Lawrence aster, though in 2006, storms eradicated most of the asters' colonies. The park's size is 238 km2 . Recreational activities in the park include swimming, cycling and hiking. Skinners Pond Videos

Day 11 - Exploring Prince Edward Island

We take a day to explore the island. We head to Anne of Green Gables Museum. We then stop at Thunder Cove Beach, and drive east along the shore line, sightseeing the sandy beaches and lighthouses! We stop at a beach with 'singing sand' which reminds us of the sand in Michigan. We end the day with eating fresh fish and chips in Charlottetown - wish we would have captured that :). Enjoy!

Coming up in the next video we head off the island and make our way to the ferry to Newfoundland!

The Walk Across Arizona (Full Length)

The Walk Across Arizona is a visual film project of an 800 mile solo hike from the Utah to the Mexico Border via the Arizona trail.

I began this project in 2011 with the intention of exhibiting Arizona's vast beauty and diversity by thru hiking from Utah to the Mexico border. I wanted this to be a visual reference for anyone interested in the newly completed Arizona Trail. The trip consisted of a wide array of challenges -- everything from 105° heat to a daylong hail storm. Finding water was by far the most difficult part of the trail. On average, I consumed anywhere from 1-2 gallons of water a day. Though I will always loathe the taste and smell, cow ponds were my saving grace. I gained a large appreciation for the abundance of clean water I once took for granted. Shooting the film also brought its own set of difficulties. I carried 5lbs of video equipment including 2 cameras (Panasonic GH2 and GoPro), a small tripod, solar panel, and extra batteries. It wasn't easy worrying about shooting a film when there was a laundry list of other things I had to be concerned with. As with anything, finding a balance between the hike and the film was imperative. This project has literally taken blood, sweat, and tears to complete and I'm proud that it's finally finished. I hope you enjoy the film!
