Awesome Trip To Diamond Harbour, South 24 Parganas..….Diamond Harbour is a ,no doubt, a very charming place…. The town is situated at the bank of the river Hooghly… After the Rupnarayan River joins the Hooghly, the river bends towards south. And it spreads like a form a huge expanse of water. A little further, the Haldi river joins it…The earlier name of the town is Hajipur…The British renamed it as Diamond Harbour for its spectacular view..… Though there is no sign of old jetties, still the place is beautiful to look at…The nature here very pleasant…You can still see here the ruined fort, locally known as Purano Kella….Go and enjoy the weekend ……Thanks…

You can also reach Taki by train from Sealdah Station in North Kolkata via Barasat.
The Trip time is about 2 hrs . The local stop is Taki Station Road and from station it takes10-15 minutes to get from the station to the riverfront of taki rajbari ghat and guest houses by rickshaw,motor van,and toto.
