Uganda VLOG - Tropical Island on Lake Victoria
This has got to be in my top 5 of most beautiful places I've ever been to. After being in Entebbe, Jason and I jumped on a ferry across Lake Victoria to a cluster of islands called Ssesse Islands. We stayed on the biggest one of these - Bugala. Our hotel had a private beach and was pretty deserted. Overall, it was a great experience!

Aero Beach Uganda | Travel Vlog
Aero Beach on Lake Victoria in Uganda is known for the peace and tranquility it provides away from the city life.
Entebbe has a rich history the main one being in 1976 where the Israeli did a rescue mission at the Entebbe Airport.

Uganda - Ssese Islands
At Pearl Gardens Beach Resort on Bugala Island - In the morning, we stepped out of the lodge and there it was, Victoria Lake with lots of little islands! Everything reminded me of being by the sea rather than by a lake… We checked out the resort. All a bit old fashioned and worn out, but with a pool and open fire place where people would party every night – we’d heard them the night before. Lots of wonderful flowers, chicken running around, the cows and pigs from the neighbour, exotic birds, a beach - that we wouldn't use because of the Schistosomiasis, also known as snail fever and bilharzia. You can only swim in the lake when you take medication beforehand... for me - a lost paradise.
We’d booked a boat tour in the afternoon to see more of the islands. Our guide, fisherman Mike, was late, but he and his coworker seemed to be funny and nice. Mike showed us the islands, explained to us the resort, informed us about real estate prices – we had asked – and so, we started a discussion about rich white chicks from America and poor African guys. Claudia was so funny! Again – some Uganda people think there is nothing else than rich white America and poor black Africa…
Mike showed us a palm oil plantation – see in the film – and he wanted to teach us how to fish – in the film as well. I told him that I won’t kill a fish. Claudia replied that she’d do it – for our dinner. Mike was confused when Claudia told him that in Germany the women kill the chicken and the fish to make dinner. She and him were teasing around quite a bit. And I think Mike was very impressed by Claudia and her courage! At the end of our boat tour, Mike absolutely wanted her phone number – While spending time with Claudia in Uganda she received marriage proposals every day!
