We went to Coromandel last weekend to go camping to unwind, relax and recover in nature with an amazing group of friends. We had heaps of fun exploring, swimming, paddle boarding sight seeing and camping. As well as camping in Hahei Holiday Resort was an amazing experience.
This is possibly my BEST VIDEO travel footage I have captured to date, thanks to my new drone and hand held gimbal stabilizer giving me the new perspective of aerial shots and steady smooth videos.

City Description:
Coromandel is a coastal town on the Coromandel Peninsula of New Zealand's North Island. It's known for the Driving Creek Railway, a narrow-gauge train ride through mountain forests, past pottery sculptures. Powered by a huge waterwheel, the 1900s Coromandel Gold Stamper Battery still processes gold from rock. The town's gold mining history is chronicled at the Coromandel School of Mines and Historical Museum.
From Coromandel Harbour, the Kauri Block Track leads up to an old Maori pa (fortress), with views over the town and offshore islands. The 309 Road runs south from town, past bushland and local farms. Along the road, the Chiltern Scenic Reserve offers trails and a picnic area. Farther south, the Waiau Falls pour over a rock face surrounded by dense vegetation. Nearby, a boardwalk leads into Kauri Grove, a cluster of huge native trees. Long Bay Beach is a popular spot for camping and swimming, and boats launch from Wyuna Bay.
Weather and Events:
Oct–Apr is a common time to visit Coromandel, when the weather is typically mild and comfortable. Days can be warm during the height of summer (Jan–Feb). Winter (Jun–Aug) is cool, with some chilly lows. Rain is possible year-round. Illume: Coromandel Winter Festival of Light (Jun/Jul) sees the town’s main street lit up in a colourful display, with live music, art displays and street food.
