Tavush , is a province of Armenia. It is located at the northeast of Armenia and bordered by Georgia from the north and Azerbaijan from the east. It is domestically bordered by the Gegharkunik Province from the south, Kotayk Province from the southwest and Lori Province from west. The capital and largest city of the province is the town of Ijevan.

    Nor Varagavank is a 13th-century Armenian Apostolic Church monastic ensemble situated 3.5 km southwest of the village Varagavan in the Tavush Province of Armenia. The monastery is situated upon a high hill and is surrounded by forested mountains and picturesque ravines.

    Berdavan , is a village in the Tavush Province of Armenia. The village is located about 2 km north of Noyemberyan and near the village of Dovekh, Kohb and Zorakan. During the Armenian-Azerbaijan conflict, the village was intensively shelled by the village of Kemerli in the Kazakh district. During the Second World War, the village lost more than half of the male population,a monument in honor of the dead is on a hill near the village.In 2015, a new bombardment took the lives of two women , one of whom was 41 years old. History The village had different names,at first it was called Tkhadzor then Ghalacha and in 1978 was renamed Berdavan.
