Last week, I had a trip to one of the southernmost provinces in the Philippines, Tawi-Tawi. It was in deed a beautiful place. The people are friendly. It is a very peactful, contrary to the negative stigma of war and terrorism attached to the place.

I did climb (Mt.) Bud Bongao and enjoyed feeding the friendly monkeys along the trail. The summit rewards you with a magnificent view the ocean, Bongao town, and the neighboring islands.
I did roam around their town including the historical chinese pier where the Chinese traders visited the Philippines more than 500 years ago. Food was also amazing. Tawi tawi is rich in food that you haven't tasted before.
Unfortunately, I wasnt able to visit the neighboring islands of Bongao due to constraints of time. Ill promise to get to the other islands when I get back ti this beautiful Island.
