Tega Cay is a planned city in York County, South Carolina, United States, located west of Fort Mill and north of Rock Hill. It is also an affluent suburb of the city of Charlotte in North Carolina. The population was recorded at 7,621 as of the 2010 U.S. Census. The City of Tega Cay is located on a peninsula along Lake Wylie, twenty miles south of Uptown Charlotte. The name Tega Cay is Polynesian for “Beautiful Peninsula.”

RV Camping Near Carowinds at KOA Campground Charlotte/Fort Mill SC

In this video Christi and I make a quick stay at a KOA Campground near Charlotte NC. Located actually in Fort Hill SC this campground offers most of the basics you would expect to find in most KOA's with average facilities. If you are looking for a quick camping spot for the night or want to stay a day or 2 there is no reason not to stay here. We were really in for a surprise however when we started seeing skulls and skeletons in the front of a building in the campground. Turns out this campground used to host a popular haunted campground attraction for Halloween. Creepy!
