Relax and listen to the sounds and sights of the first snowfall in BEDRETTO. Switzerland 4K: Bedretto was filmed in northern Ticino, Switzerland in the fall of 2017. After the summer season ends and before the ski season begins, the tourists vanish, the shops close down, and the mountains and valleys of Switzerland lay quiet waiting for those first flakes of winter. The silence is deafening, and overwhelming. Not a soul to be seen in any direction. A muted, and peaceful sleep. When the first snow falls in the mountains the evergreens and larches still have their colors, and it is a magical event.
Entspannen Sie sich und hören Sie sich die Geräusche und Sehenswürdigkeiten des ersten Schneefalls in BEDRETTO an. Schweiz 4K: Bedretto wurde im Herbst 2017 im nördlichen Tessin gefilmt. Nach dem Ende der Sommersaison und vor Beginn der Skisaison verschwinden die Touristen, die Geschäfte schließen sich, und die Berge und Täler der Schweiz warten auf sie erste Flocken des Winters. Die Stille ist ohrenbetäubend und überwältigend. Kein Mensch wird in jede Richtung gesehen. Ein gedämpfter und friedlicher Schlaf. Wenn der erste Schnee in die Berge fällt, haben die immergrünen Bäume und Lärchen immer noch ihre Farben und es ist ein magisches Ereignis.
Rilassati e ascolta i suoni e i panorami della prima nevicata a BEDRETTO. Svizzera 4K: Bedretto è stato girato nel nord del Ticino, in Svizzera, nell'autunno del 2017. Dopo l'inizio della stagione estiva e prima dell'inizio della stagione sciistica, i turisti svaniscono, i negozi chiudono e le montagne e le valli della Svizzera riposano tranquille aspettando primi fiocchi d'inverno. Il silenzio è assordante e travolgente. Non un'anima da vedere in nessuna direzione. Un sonno silenzioso e silenzioso. Quando la prima neve cade sulle montagne gli alberi sempreverdi e i larici hanno ancora i loro colori, ed è un evento magico.

Après la saison estivale et avant le début de la saison de ski, les touristes disparaissent, les magasins ferment et les montagnes et les vallées de Suisse attendent tranquillement premiers flocons d'hiver. Le silence est assourdissant et écrasant. Pas une âme à voir dans n'importe quelle direction. Un sommeil silencieux et paisible. Quand la première neige tombe dans les montagnes, les arbres à feuilles persistantes et les mélèzes ont encore leurs couleurs, et c'est un événement magique.

Shot in 4K on a Panasonic GH5 with an Atomos Ninja Inferno, a Canon 5Ds, Canon 6D, and Canon and Panasonic lenses. Sound by Zoom and AZDEN. Supported by Manfrotto Tripods, Dynamic Perception sliders, Zhiyun Crane 2, and the eMotimo Spectrum.
Processing and editing was completed in Lightroom, LRTimelapse, After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Audition. Shot in 10-bit 4:2:2, and graded with Lumetri Color.
A special thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Alessandro Manfrè and the Locanda Orelli in Bedretto for being the only bed and breakfast willing to stay open during the down season to allow me to film this magnificent area.

A weekend in Ticino, Switzerland! Travel vlog: Ascona-Locarno, Bavona Valley and Maggia Valley
This weekend we headed to Ticino, the Italian speaking part of Switzerland. We camped in Gordevio, which is about 10 km from Locarno. We explored Ascona, Bavona valley (Val Bavona) and Maggia valley (vallemaggia)!
We did four hikes in two days and saw many old but well-preserved villages in the Bavona and Maggia Valley: Aurigeno, Foroglio, Cavergno and Bignasco. The villages are full of amazing stone houses and some still don't have electricity.
The Foroglio waterfall is such a hidden gem. The water is rushing down the 110 meter steep rock face at the foot of Foroglio, a charming 15th century village. The scenery is so spectacular while it is hard to believe it is still kept away from most tourists.
The best part along the hike is that you can jump into the river and have a swim. The water is unbelievable, just like a dream.
For two days, my ears were filled with the sound from the running water during the hike, swim and even sleep at the campsite by the river. It is such a soothing and relaxing time.
I can't wait to go back!
