Travel Dublin, Ireland - The Dublin Castle
Take a tour of Dublin Castle in Ireland -- part of the World's Greatest Attractions travel video series by GeoBeats.
Dublin is a schizophrenic city, where you can find historic buildings right next to modern ones.
No building personifies this better than Dublin Castle, which can't make up its mind.
It has parts from the medieval ages, the 18th century, and the 20th century.
The castle has long been an important place for the government in Dublin and is designed accordingly.
The interior is famous for its decoration, including its Waterford crystal chandeliers.
An impressive landmark, the Dublin Castle is a jewel of the great city of Dublin.

A Walk Around Donegal Castle and Town on a sunny day in July 2011
This is a video we made walking around Dongal castle and town on a lovely summers day in July of 2011.
Donegal town is situated in the north west of Ireland. The castle is in the center of the town. It was built by the O'Donnell chieftain in the 15th century, beside the River Eske, the Castle has extensive 17th century additions by Sir Basil Brooke. The Castle is furnished throughout and includes Persian rugs and French tapestries. Information panels chronicle the history of the Castle owners from the O'Donnell chieftains to the Brooke family.

Kilross Hunt Scarteen Tipperary
Kilross Hunt with the Scarteen, Tipperary.
This film captures the excitement and action of the Kilross hunt by Scarteen.
Kilross is a townland, six kilometres west of Tipperary Town on the road to Galbally
The weather was cloudy and misty with rain at times in the morning. Turning drier during the afternoon. Afternoon temperatures were 7 to 11 degrees Celsius. The ground was wet and water logged after recent persistent rain.
Visibility for taking photographs and video footage was poor.
The pack of foxhounds are Kerry beagles that are black and tan in colour. The foxhounds are bred for speed and endurance. The Scarteen Hunt has the only major pack of Kerry beagles in Ireland.
The countryside is rolling pastureland comprising fields with mainly boundaries of open drains and clay banks with hedgerows and trees. The land is used for dairy and cattle fattening. The Galtee Mountains are to the south.
The riders headed off to the east and circled the village. They hunted through the Mooresfort Estate which is a large parkland estate with stately deciduous trees scattered throughout.
There was great excitement jumping the infamous O’Halloran’s drain, many took a dip and some riders had to be rescued. There were some spectacular falls. The drain is wide and deep with vertical faces and the ground is the same level on both sides making it a difficult jump. On the jump side there is a heavily wooded area so the riders had to jump from a standing position. The riders demonstrated great courage and skill credited is due to all that attempted this iconic water jump.
Nearby are: Lattin Village, Shronell, Emly, Galbally, Moor Abbey and the Glen of Aherlow.
