Sprawling across almost 2 acres of breathtaking land ~ and only minutes from central Ajijic ~ the owners and creators of this retreat have spared no expense to make La Esparanza, the glam place to hang your hat. It's not just the efficiency and elegance of such 21stcentury upgrades as the Nuvo whole-house-audio-system with digital wall controls throughout the estate, but also it's the old world, custom high-end western lodge furnishings that add the real wow factor to this grand Rancho. Couple these features with the designer's ability to mix the dude feel with the feminine appeal and you know exactly what gives La Esparanza its uniqueness. The five bedrooms in the main house are currently used for a media room, an art studio, and offices, as well as the sexy master and equally sexy guest quarters. The five plus bathrooms, Blue-Ray DVD players, six flat screen TVs, 4 security cameras (accessible anywhere in the world through the internet), full Mirador with wet bar, expansive covered terrace with fireplace and full living room furniture, and you round out the exquisitely designed and appointed main house. The gob-smacking factor of the main house is completed by the pristine views of both the mountains and the lake while looking over the immense, solar heated, salt water pool, the infra-red sauna, and the six luxurious stables, corral and horse arena. Just a thought, but if you are not ready to just hang out and read six books a week between lunch dates, you could turn Rancho La Esparanza into the perfect venue for a Dude Ranch Retreat. Think about it. So close to both Guadalajara and the airport, Rancho La Esparanza's appeal cannot be denied. Set far back from the Libramiento through giant iron gates, the mature gardens and lawns are broken by the windy paved road which takes your car up to the porte-cochere for easy, fully covered, drop off. The road continues and wraps around the pool and corral to drop additional guests at the front door of a separate Casita, bigger and more fully equipped than most homes in Ajijic. Words can paint a picture, but your eyes must see this to believe it. So if you are looking for the quintessential Rancho for you and your family or the most promising business opportunity, then this two point three million dollar resort home and rancho is a must see. I welcome your call for a private showing at your convenience.

Casa de Campo is a luxury complex of 1,500 private vacation homes and a resort set on 7,000 acres in the Dominican Republic. The resort also contains one of Latin America's principal polo venues, three golf courses, a shooting club and a replica of a 16th-century Italian village. Casa de Campo attracts an upscale mix of families, business people and those seeking a relaxing getaway.
The reception area is in a glass-walled air-conditioned lounge with travertine floors and a mixture of antique oriental and copper vases. There is a special check-in lounge for VIPs. The decor, by fashion designer Oscar de la Renta, is done in tropical style. Rooms feature a balcony or patio furnished with cushioned rattan chairs, woven cane and mahogany furniture, tiled floors and louvered doors and windows. In addition to the guestrooms and suites, there are three- and four-bedroom villas for larger families or groups; these have added amenities such as spa tubs.
Among the resort's exclusive dining venues is The Beach Club by Le Cirque, affiliated with the famed New York restaurant, which serves lunch and dinner. Lago Grill, with open-air seating and views of the golf course and beach, serves breakfast and lunch. Chinois serves pan-Asian fare for lunch and dinner. At the marina, La Casita is open for dinner with a menu specializing in seafood and Spanish cuisine. Other dinner-only dining venues include La Piazzetta for Italian cuisine and Tropicana for steaks and other grilled dishes. Light fare and beverages are served at the golf course's 19th Hole, Onno's Tapas Bar and the poolside Upper Deck.
Consistently ranked among the best golf resorts in the Caribbean, Casa de Campo has three 18-hole courses designed by Pete Dye. On the resort's private beach guests can go sailing, paddle-boating or kayaking. Casa de Campo also has its own stables for horseback riding; several swimming pools; a disco; a shooting center for skeet, trap and clay shooting; 13 tennis courts of which 10 are lighted; and the Cygalle Healing Spa. If that's not enough to keep guests busy, there are supervised activities for children and excursions for sightseeing, fishing and other activities can easily be arranged.
