How to travel LAOS - Thakhek Motorbike Loop
Travelling South East Asia on a motorbike is one of the best travel experiences you can have. Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos are some of the best countries to do an epic road trip on a motorbike journey.
The Thakhek Loop is a popular circuit in central Laos. Travellers reach Khammouane Province and rent a motorbike for a few days to do the “Thakhek Motorbike Loop”.
Along the loop we can see amazing caves, impressive landscapes, limestone forests, calm lakes, crystal waters lagoons and beautiful villages with native tribes.
On this first episode, we left Nakai resort where we were volunteering to go to Thakhek city, rent a bike and start the loop.

Best Thing to Do in Laos - Pha Hon Kham
After Joe and I spent time at the Blue Lagoon near Vang Vieng, Laos (video here: we continued our bike ride and stumbled upon one of the most amazing viewpoints I have ever seen. We had to bike through mud which made climbing difficult for me because I kept slipping out of my flip-flops. The climb caused a lot of sweating too. Once we got to the top we were blown away by the beauty laid out in front of us. We were surrounded by gorgeous green mountains and lush valleys where farmers were planting rice in their paddies. It was one of those moments where I just felt high from the sights I was seeing and really living in the moment. Truly one of the best things to do in Laos.

How to travel Laos - The Mystery of Laos
During our time in Laos we really enjoyed the Gibbon Experience Express tour which is still one of the highlights of our trip so far. Also the Tubing in Vang Vien was awesome and a recommendation if you want to have a fun day with some great people.
Of course you should visit the beautiful waterfalls in Luang Prabang and Pakse and enjoy the beautiful scenery!
