Thaur is a municipality in the district of Innsbruck-Land in the Austrian state of Tyrol located 5 km east of Innsbruck between Rum, Austria and Hall in Tirol. Settlement of the area probably began around 1000 BC but the location was mentioned as “Taurane” for the first time in 827. Thaur is very religious even nowadays.

Wattens in der Region Hall-Wattens Tirol Österreich

Wer Wattens hört, denkt an Swarovski. Jahr für Jahr besuchen Tausende von Besuchern die Wunderkammern der von André Heller geschaffenen Kristallwelten, die in ein wunderbares Universum der Kristalle entführen. Festivals wie „Musik im Riesen oder Angebote wie das „RiesenKinderSpiel für die kleinsten Besucher machen die Kristallwelten zum attraktiven Ausflugsort.

Neben den Kristallwelten gibt es noch etliche weitere interessante Museen in Wattens wie z.b. das Industrie- oder das Schreibmaschinenmuseum.

Wer mit dem Rad unterwegs ist, kommt an Wattens kaum vorbei -- führt doch der bekannte Inn-Radweg von Innsbruck nach Passau direkt durch den Ort.

Außerdem ist der Ort in der Region Hall-Wattens Ausgangspunkt für zahlreiche Spaziergänge und Wandertouren in den Tuxer Alpen.

Mils in der Region Hall-Wattens Tirol Österreich

Mils ist eine wahre Kraftquelle für Erholungssuchende. Wander- und Spazierwege sowie variantenreiche Radstrecken im Sommer sowie eine präparierte Loipe und eine Nachtrodelbahn im Winter erwarten alle Sportbegeisterten. Auch Winterwanderer kommen auf vielfältigen Wald- und Panoramawegen auf ihre Kosten.

Mils ist übrigens sehr musikalisch -- einer der bekanntesten Tiroler Chöre, der Oswald Milser Chor, ist hier beheimatet. Außerdem hat der aus Funk und Fernsehen bekannte Schlagersänger Semino Rossi hier Heimat gefunden.

1771 wurden die ersten Kreuze am Kalvarienberg errichtet. 1803-1805 wurde die Kirche durch Thomas Tiefenbrunner erbaut.Am 31.5.1831 zur Kirche geweiht.

Leavenworth WA Road Trip -- a Mister Illusion Production

Mister Illusion Magic Productions presents our July 2013 road trip to Leavenworth Washington. Leavenworth is a resort town in the mountains of northern Washington and the theme is German. German decor, food, music and atmosphere. The area is reminds one of the Bavarian Alps in southern Germany. Our trip took us through Eugene, Portland, Klamath Falls and many many side trips. Beautiful scenery and a great get-away. We hope this short film gives you some idea of what the experience was like.
