Kerala - God's Own Beach
The mystical land of Kerala, also known as 'GOD'S OWN COUNTRY' lies between the Lakshadweep sea and the Western Ghats. It has the humid equatorial tropic climate. The eastern Kerala province consists of high mountains, gorges and deep-cut valleys directly to the west of the Western Ghats' rain shadow. The highest peak is Anamudi at an elevated at 2,695 meters. At the west of the mountains lie the midland plains comprising central Kerala, dominated by rolling hills and valleys.
Kerala's western coastal belt is somewhat flat, and is criss-crossed by a network of interconnected brackish canals, lakes, estuaries, and rivers known as the Kerala Backwaters. Around 8% of India's waterways lengthwise are found in Kerala. The most significant of Kerala's forty-four rivers include the Periyar (244 km), the Bharathapuzha (209 km), the Pamba (176 km), the Chaliyar (169 km), the Kadalundipuzha River (130 km), the Valapattanam (129 km) and the Achankovil (128 km). As Kerala's rivers are small and lack deltas, they are more prone to environmental factors.
During summer, Kerala is prone to gale force winds, storm surges, cyclone-related torrential downpours, occasional droughts, and rises in sea level. The mean daily temperatures range from 19.8 °C to 36.7 °C and mean annual temperatures range from 25.0--27.5 °C in the coastal lowlands to 20.0--22.5 °C in the eastern highlands.

Varanasi: A sacred city of the Hindu religion
Varanasi, is a city on the banks of the Ganges in Uttar Pradesh, 320 kilometres (200 mi) southeast of the state capital, Lucknow. It is holiest of the seven sacred cities (Sapta Puri) in Hinduism and Jainism. Hindus believe that death at Varanasi brings salvation. It is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world and the oldest in India.
Many of its temples were plundered and destroyed by Mohammad Ghauri in the 12th century. The temples and religious institutions in the city now are of 18th century vintage.
The Kashi Naresh (Maharaja of Kashi) is the chief cultural patron of Varanasi, and an essential part of all religious celebrations. The culture of Varanasi is closely associated with the Ganges. The city has been a cultural center of North India for several thousand years, and has a history that is older than most of the major world religions. The Benares Gharana form of Hindustani classical music developed in Varanasi, and many prominent Indian philosophers, poets, writers, and musicians live or have lived in Varanasi. Gautama Buddha gave his first sermon at Sarnath located near Varanasi.
Varanasi is the spiritual capital of India. Scholarly books have been written in the city, including the Ramcharitmanas of Tulsidas. Today there is a temple of his namesake in the city, the Tulsi Manas Mandir. One of the largest residential University of Asia Benares Hindu University is located here.

A peek into Suranga - man made cave in Kasargod, Kerala
This vlog is about Suranga - the man made cave, one among thousands in Kasargod, Kerala.
Creating Suranga was an expert work and there are very few lef today who knows this art. Suranga's were dug up tp create alternative water source for the summer months wehn even the wells used to go dry.
Finding the right location at the base of a hill was the begining, this followed by laborious work to dig out the sand in a scientific manner ensuring it does not collapse. At the same time using the earths vibration to reach the correct source of water was a unique quality. Today we see remanants of these with few still generating the water, this is one such source.
