Pescoluse & Torre Vado like you never seen!!! (drone and underwater)
The marina of Pescoluse, a district of the village Salve, is located on a stretch on the Ionian coast between Torre Pali and Torre Vado, more precisely at the same height as the 'channel Fano'. The marina is very small and compact and well known for its beaches. The coast, low and sandy, is characterized by the presence of dunes. The sand is fine and golden and the coast faces south so its actual position allows Pescoluse to enjoy until sunset crystal clear water. The natural beauty of the place is so gorgeous that a stretch of the coast has been dubbed The Maldives of Salento, you’ll find here two beaches, “le cinque vele (The five sails) and The Maldives offering maximum comfort and relaxation for the most demanding tourists. Pescoluse, however, is not confined to the beautiful coastline and mesmerizing marina, it is also famous for the archaeological excavations, immersed in a green environment, standing out the dolmens and the channel of Fano. The channel was formed about 10 million years ago due to continues limestone erosion. While taking walks here it offers a different landscape to admire, a pleasant and stimulating environment to enjoy nature and history. There are numerous hiking, walking and cycling tours organized here, starting from Salve or from the surrounding areas, you are able to move in a beautiful landscape dotted with dry stone walls and pajare (small stone houses). In the local area you’ll find also some karst phenomena called “inghiottitoi” (sinkholes), entrances of underground cavities where you’ll find springs of fresh water. This unique feature is typical for the area, considering that Puglia has particularly poor surface watercourses.

It was in sept 2016, when a few former students from UWCSEA in Singapore, mostly from the class of 1980, arrived in Puglia from all over the world, to meet again and spend a week together.. The area was a fantastic surprise for everybody: incredible cristalline sea water and beaches, amazing local wines and restaurants, unexpected places to visit, beautiful accomodations for everybody: in the anchient medioeval borough of Vaste, where Bed and Breakfast Tana del Riccio is located (in the immediate innerland of sea coast jewels such as Castro) and nearby, as in a scattered hotel. Headquarters were in BB Tana del Riccio and the annex...the cinematographic Museum Cafe' of Vaste.
Every evening there was a fantastic meal to enjoy in very special restaurants and everyday there would be new magnificent beaches and grottos or towns to explore such as Lecce, also known as the italian Baroccan capital, the Florence of Southern Italy, among the best 10 cities to visit in the world according to Lonely Planet in 2016. Just as Puglia is considered a Top Destination to discover by National Geographic and TripAdvisor.

Santa Cesarea Terme, drone & underwater
Santa Cesarea Terme is a natural paradise with a rocky coast that plunges into a bright blue sea with clear, cold water. You will be immediately captivated by the clear emerald sea and the rocky cliffs, overlooking the sea, full of stacks and prehistoric caves, embellished by the beach of Porto Miggiano, where in a blaze of light and color the transparent sea kisses the golden sand. The sea has idyllic stretches with rocky cliffs that rise sheer that is often attended by the high bourgeoisie of Salento; the town center is characterized by Moorish palaces (first of all the picturesque Sticchi Palace), stately villas and simple modern buildings painted in white watching the sunrise. Located at south of Strait of Otranto and adjacent to Castro, has several points loved by swimmers, such as the terraces and the beach of Porto Miggiano, over a wide range of rocky landing points, often chosen by fishermen. There are numerous restaurants serving seafood. The sulphurous thermal waters (known in antiquity and mentioned by Strabone) are developed in Marine-Karst caves unique in their kind. In four natural caves sources form: Gattulla, Fetida, Sulfurea and Zolfatara. The salty-bromo-iodic waters gush out at a temperature of 27-30 ° C. Particularly suitable for those suffering from chronic rheumatic pain, neuralgia, metabolism disorders, and respiratory diseases. The spa will make you spend moments of complete relaxation. Various nightclubs: the famous discos Guendalinaand Malè, Blue Bay, in nearby Castro, very nice and modern, although often too crowded. The town of Santa Cesarea Terme, includes villages of Cerfignano and Vitigliano and Porto Miggiano, Villaggio Paradiso and La Fraulo resorts. A poem of light and color, imprinted in the minds of visitors.
Santa Maria al Bagno + Santa Caterina, drone, underwater
Santa Maria al Bagno is a beautiful seaside resort in the middle of the fabulous bay going from Gallipoli to Santa Caterina (to separate the two places there is only a small promontory Punta dell'Aspide). In the Middle Ages it was defended by the superb Torre del Fiume. Today only four massive pillars remain of the tower, called The Four Columns. The town was founded as a small fishing village and as a shelter for ships from the stormy sea. In the Middle Ages it was abandoned to the most complete degradation, it was repeatedly plundered by pirates and Saracens. Particular damage was procured by the Venetians after the fall of Gallipoli (1484). It rises in a setting characterized by alternating recesses and protrusions, sharp points and gentle hills, woods and pine forests. The coast is low and it is comfortable and easy to reach the sea; it is free, but who wants can take advantage of equipped bars / lidos with sun beds and umbrellas. For beach lovers, just move to the center of the town where there is a beach of fine sand. Near the tower is a source of fresh water, also known to the pirates often attacked to refuel. Charles V therefore decided to protect the source erecting the famous tower. The tower had a truncated pyramidical structure with a square base with pentagonal corner pillars and a height of 16 meters. At the top there was a string course with brackets. The central part collapsed, probably not long after its construction, either after enemy attacks or telluric phenomena. Today there are four corner pillars: that's why the tower is also called the four columns.
