Kochi in Shikoku Japan has a spectacular waterfront, port, Aki,
Kōchi Prefecture comprises the southwestern part of the island of Shikoku, facing the Pacific Ocean. It is bordered by Ehime to the north-west and Tokushima to the north-east. It is the largest but least populous of Shikoku's four prefectures. Most of the province is mountainous, and in only a few areas such as around Kōchi and Nakamura is there a coastal plain. Kōchi is famous for its many rivers. Inamura-yama in Tosa-cho is the highest peak in Kōchi prefecture with an altitude of 1,506 meters above sea level.
As of April 1, 2012, 7% of the total land area of the prefecture was designated as Natural Parks, namely the Ashizuri-Uwakai National Park; Ishizuchi, Muroto-Anan Kaigan, and Tsurugisan Quasi-National Parks; and eighteen Prefectural Natural Parks.[4]

Minoo Park is in a forested valley on the outskirts of Osaka, just north of the sprawling city. During the fall, it is one of the best places to view the autumn colors in a natural setting in Kansai region, in contrast with the attractive fall foliage seen at temples and gardens. The colors usually reach peaks in late November.
Known as a counterpart to Tokyo's Mount Takao, Minoo Park is the closest spot to the busy metropolis of Osaka to find a spacious natural recreation area. It takes only less than 30 minutes from the downtown Umeda area. Another similarity between Takao and Minoo is that both given quasi-national park status in 1967 to commemorate the hundredth anniversary of the Meiji Period (1867-1912). The main hiking trail in Minoo Park extends about three kilometers through a valley alongside the Minoo River. The trail starts near Hankyu Minoo Station leading to the Minoo Waterfall. The main attraction of the park is the waterfall with a height of 33 meters. The name Minoo Waterfall is derived from the fall's resemblance to winnowing, a traditional farming technique to separate grains from husks (winnow basket is called mino in Japanese.). The name has then been applied to the area in general.
