Smygehuk is a harbour and fishing village at Smygehamn in Skåne, Sweden. It is most known for being the southernmost point of Sweden, and the entire Scandinavian Peninsula . To the west of the harbour are Smygehuk Lighthouse and Smygehuk Hostel. A statue of a nude woman stands in the harbour. It was made by artist Axel Ebbe and installed in 1930. It is named Famntaget . The model for the statue was Birgit Holmquist, mother of the model Nena von Schlebrügge and grandmother of actress Uma Thurman.

Ale's Stones is a megalithic monument in Scania in southern Sweden. It is a stone ship, oval in outline, with the stones at each end markedly larger than the rest. It is 67 m long formed by 59 large boulders, weighing up to 1.8 tonnes each. The carbon-14 dating system for organic remains has provided seven results at the site. One indicates that the material is around 5,500 years old whereas the remaining six indicate a date about 1,400 years ago. The latter is considered to be the most likely time for Ales Stenar to have been created. That would place its creation towards the end of the Nordic Iron Age.

Skånes Djurpark is a Swedish zoological park located in Höör Municipality, Skåne County. It specializes in animals of the Nordic fauna, although orphaned animals from elsewhere in the world are sometimes temporarily housed there until a new home can be found for them. The zoo has about 900 animals, representing almost 100 species. These animals are most often kept in large enclosures with natural environments. Some of the domestic animals displayed include: Skånegås , Gute sheep, Fjäll cattle, and Jämtlandsget .

Stenshuvud is a hill in the southeastern corner of Sweden, in the province of Scania, close to Kivik in Simrishamn Municipality. Since 1986, it is one of the National parks of Sweden. The park covers an area of about 3.9 km2 . The hill is 97 m high and faces the Baltic Sea. Since the surrounding landscape is relatively flat, it can be seen from a great distance and has traditionally been used as a landmark for seafarers. Many visitors trek up the hill to enjoy the view which is very good in clear weather. Most of the area is covered with broadleaf forest, especially European hornbeam. Rostock is the largest city in the north German state Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Rostock is on the Warnow river; the district of Warnemünde 7 miles north of the city center is directly on the Baltic Sea coast.

This is the third port on my eleven day Baltic cruise on the Emerald Princess. In this video I visit St. Mary's Church and Market Square in Rostock before returning to the ship in Warnemünde for the sail away.

A motorcycle tour to Scandinavia (Sweden and Norway) with a Ural Sidecar Motorcycle. Part one covers getting there from Germany, crossing the Baltic Sea from Travemünde (Germany) to Trelleborg (Sweden), and heading North to Norway.

Unfortunately a few technical problems accured. Sorry for that. I hope to have solved the problem when part 2 is going to be uploaded.

Skåne County (Swedish: Skåne län), sometimes referred to as Scania County in English, is the southernmost county or län, of Sweden, basically corresponding to the traditional province Skåne. It borders the counties of Halland, Kronoberg and Blekinge. The seat of residence for the Skåne Governor is the town of Malmö. The headquarters of Skåne Regional Council is the town of Kristianstad.

The present county was created in 1997 when Kristianstad County and Malmöhus County were merged, and it covers around 3% of Sweden's total area, but its population of 1,250,000 comprises 13% of Sweden's total population.

Scania, also known by its local name Skåne is the southernmost province (landskap) of Sweden which consists of a peninsula on the southern tip of the Scandinavian Peninsula and some islands close to it. Scania is roughly equivalent to the modern Skåne County (Skåne län). The responsibility for overseeing implementation of state policy in the county is administered by the County Administrative Board. Within Scania there are 33 municipalities that are independent and separate from the Scania Regional Council which has its seat in Kristianstad. The largest city is Malmö, which is also the third largest city in Sweden.

Trivsamt och prisvärt boende i sekelskiftesmiljö. Svea är beläget i en fridfull och barnvänlig del av centrala Trelleborg. Med knappt 5 minuters promenad till centrum och färjeläge. Läget är idealiskt med endast 5 minuter till närmaste strand och golfbana, 15 minuter till Smygehuk och 20 minuter till Höllviken och Falsterbo. Rummen och boendet är renoverat till modern standard med t ex TV och bredbandsuppkoppling på alla rum, samt kaklade badrum. Alla boende har tillgång till ett gemensamt kök om man exempelvis vill tillaga sin egen frukost vid tidig avresa, eller göra en enklare kvällsmåltid.

A 5-minute walk from the centre of Trelleborg, Svea Bed & Breakfast is a traditional townhouse with a mature lawned garden. There is a neighbouring playground, free Wi-Fi throughout and a communal kitchen. Each bright bedroom at Svea Bed & Breakfast comes with a private bathroom and a flat-screen TV. Some rooms feature a fireplace and seating area, and all look out over the garden. A self-service breakfast is provided each morning in the kitchen, and there are many restaurants in the area as well as in the centre of Trelleborg.
