Visiting the old Spanish town of Trujillo. Trujillo is located in the province of Cáceres, in the region of Extremadura, Spain. You can reach it through the A-5 after 255 km West of Madrid. The old town has a Roman, medieval and renaissance taste in its architecture. Conquerors Francisco Pizarro and Francisco de Orellana were born there. Pizarro's equestrian statue stands in the main square, the Plaza Mayor.

10. Puno
Puno is a port city on the shores of Lake Titicaca on the Altiplano of Peru. Despite its picturesque hillside setting, the city itself is a ramshackle collection of mostly unfinished modern buildings. Its biggest attraction is as a departure point for the famous floating islands on the Peruvian side of Lake Titicaca.
