Connecticut is one of the most charming of all the American states, known for its rich history, its academia, its beautiful autumns, and its sunny summers by the beach.
With a rustic mix of coastal towns and rural havens, there is a lot to love about this area of New England.
Unlike many US states, Connecticut has access to the coast; calling all surfers, sand lovers and beach bums!
Being on the Atlantic Coast the weather can be harsh at times but when the sun shines over Connecticut it is glorious.
From New Haven to Mystic there is always something to discover in Connecticut.
Mystic, for example, is famous for its Seaport museum which houses ancient sailing ships, and the Mystic Aquarium too that houses the Beluga Whales.

Took a trip out to Little Falls and did not regret it.
Will be coming back next time during the winter to photograph the winter scenery.

Hike at Wadsworth Mansion in CT
A hike in one of connecticuts old mansion properties. A series of trails are off to one side. The trail is easy, and covered with a rich canopy to keep cool even on hot days.
I wanted to walk the entire trail but found the gnats and mosquitoes were just too much, probably because of mold season. And I am used to them, so believe me when I say a lot! At one point my camera hand was covered with gnats.
Finding Fort Mansfield, Westerly RI
I absolutely love the beach and the feelings of peace it evokes and this explore definitely fed that desire to be near water even if it was only about 30 degrees out. The fort is located at the very end of a long sandbar, about a mile and a half walk one way. The fort isn’t one of the largest I have seen yet still incredible to see. I just may have enjoyed the trip to get here as much as the destination. Get up, get out and as always..... Happy Exploring
