Wonderfull Indonesia - Natuna Island • Kepulauan Riau Indonesia
The Natuna Islands archipelago (272 islands) is located in the south part of the South China Sea in the Natuna Sea. It is part of the larger Tudjuh Archipelago, off the northwest coast of Borneo. Administratively, the islands (including the nearby Bunguran Islands) constitute a regency within the Riau Islands Province of Indonesia and are the northernmost non-disputed island group of Indonesia.
Indonesia's exclusive economic zone off the coast of Natuna slightly overlaps the area within China's South China Sea claim denoted by the so-called Nine-Dash Line. In 2014–2015, the presence of the Indonesian army on the islands was reinforced, which the Indonesian government hoped would reduce the chance of any conflict.[1]
The Natuna Islands themselves are divided into three groups:
North Natuna, which includes Laut Island (Pulau Laut);
Middle Natuna, which includes Bunguran (Natuna Besar); and
South Natuna, which includes the Subi Islands and Serasan.
FLORES PT.1, INDONESIA - The Way Overland - Episode 15
We've now crossed our first official land border into Indonesia!
Our first destination is Kupang, the capital of the provence of East Nusa Tenggara and the island of Timor's biggest city. There is not a lot happening in the city though and subsequently is mainly used for a transit point between Timor, Flores, Rote and the islands to the North.
We had a couple of options from Kupang. Take the short crossing to the island of Rote and spend a few week surfing or continue westward to Flores. We didn’t particularly want to be stuck in Kupang for Christmas so the we opted for the latter for two reasons, its now the wet season and the onshores are blowing meaning the surf is unreliable and also as due to the increased wind and swell the crossing to Flores is often cancelled. The overnight ferry crossing from Kupang to Flores takes around 14 hours and is pretty basic. Thankfully we had our house so could retreat to get some sleep.
The ferry pulled into Larantuka at about 2:30 in the morning, so we found a spot in the ferry carpark to catch a couple more hours sleep. Then at breaky we met a lovely local, Sandy, who offered to show us around his home town.
After our tour of the markets and jetty in Larantuka, we started the 230km drive to Kelimutu, a volcano with tri-coloured crater lakes sitting at 1639m.
We found a camp spot just down from the volcano so that we could get up nice and early the next morning to go up to the summit in time for the sunrise. Unfortunately, Jolie's alarm didn't go off (or she turned it off), so we ended up reaching the top at about 8:30, which worked out well in the end as the misty morning had cleared by the time we got up there, making for some pretty awesome drone shots!
Hope you guys enjoyed the video! Next week we're driving to the north coast to a town called Riung where we have a fun day of snorkeling, then to Bajawa to soak in the hot springs and visit a traditional village, and to finish it off going diving in the Komodo National Park off Labuan Bajo.
If you have any suggestions on places we must see in Indonesia we’d love to hear from you!

However, instead of oil and gas producer, Natuna is also having other resources in case of tourism. There are a lot of places that can be used as local excursions, with the natural charm of beaches and sea, as well as the beautiful islands to visit.

Hello Good People, kembali lagi ke Channel saya! I hope your weekend is going well!
Vlog kali ini merupakan kelanjutan dari Langkawi Part 1, video kali ini sangat seru dengan melakukan perjalanan menggunakan speed boat dan mengunjungi pantai-pantai yang bagus di Langkawi, Malaysia. So selamat menonton!!!
Langkawi. An archipelago of 99 islands. And what to do in a place with 99 islands? Yes! Island hopping! Let's hop on a boat and explore some of the popular spots in the area, such as the Lake of the Pregnant Maiden (Danau Dayang Bunting) and Wet Rice Island (Pulau Beras Basah). In case you like big birds: we also stop at an eagle watching spot. We end the day at - in our opinion - the best beach on the main island, Tanjung Rhu beach.
I hope you enjoy my channel. Happy Weekend Good People :)
