Ubon Ratchathani , often shortened to Ubon , is one of the northeastern provinces of Thailand, and the country's easternmost. Ubon is about 630 km from Bangkok. Neighboring Provinces are Sisaket, Yasothon, and Amnat Charoen. To the north and east it borders Salavan and Champasak of Laos, to the south Preah Vihear of Cambodia.

  • 1. Pha Taem National Park Ubon Ratchathani Province
    Pha Taem National Park is a national park along the Mekong river in Ubon Ratchathani Province of Isan, Thailand. Phou Xieng Thong National Protected Area in Laos is on the opposite side of the river. It is notable for its Dipterocarp forest cover and for extensive rock art on cliffs above the Mekong. The art is estimated to be 3,000 years old. The park also has several examples of mushroom rocks as well as the largest flower field in Thailand.Besides, Pha Taem National Park also a popular tourist destination for the received first sunshine of the New Year's every year.

    Thung Song Junction railway station is a railway station located in Pak Phraek Subdistrict, Thung Song District, Nakhon Si Thammarat. This station is a class 1 railway station, located 757.08 km from Thon Buri railway station. This station is the junction for the Southern Line mainline and the Kantang Branch Line to Trang Province. On site, there is a 277 class decommissioned steam locomotive, built by Hanomag. The station opened in January 1914, on the Southern Line section Huai Yot-Thung Song Junction. In October 1914, the line extended southwards to Phatthalung, and in February 1915, the line extended northbound to Ban Na.

    Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn is the second daughter of King Bhumibol Adulyadej.Her full ceremonial title is Somdech Phra Debaratanarajasuda Chao Fa Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Rathasimagunakornpiyajat Sayamboromrajakumari , which was bestowed upon her on 5 December 1977. Thais commonly refer to her by reducing such title to Phra Thep, meaning princess angel. Her title in Thai is the female equivalent of the title once held by her brother, King Maha Vajiralongkorn. The Thai constitution was altered in 1974 to allow for female succession, thus making her eligible for the throne.Having been the eldest female child of the royal family , her position was comparable to a princess royal.
