Lucknow- City of Nawabs
Traffic passing by the Bara Imambara in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India.
Bara Imambara is an imambara complex in Lucknow, India, built by Asaf-ud-Daula, Nawab of Oudh, in 1784. It is also called the Asafi Imambara. Bara means big, and an imambara is a shrine built by Shia Muslims for the purpose of Azadari. The Bara Imambara is among the grandest buildings of Lucknow.
Construction of Bara Imambara was started in 1785, a year of a devastating famine, and one of Asaf-ud-Daula's objectives in embarking on this grandiose project was to provide employment for people in the region for almost a decade while the famine lasted. It is said that ordinary people used to work in the day building up the edifice, while noblemen and other elite worked at night to break down anything that was raised that day. It was a project that preceded a Keynesian like intervention for employment generation. Construction of the Imambara was completed in 1791. Estimated cost of building the Imambara ranges between half a million rupees to a million rupees. Even after completion, the Nawab used to spend between four and five hundred thousand rupees on its decoration annually.

HISTORY OF KANPUR CENTRAL [ ONE OF THE BIGGEST STATIONS IN INDIA]
Kanpur is the 12th most populous city in India and the second largest city in the state of Uttar Pradesh after Lucknow. The city is the administrative headquarters of Kanpur Nagar district and Kanpur division.
STATION CODE :CNB
The name of the city is believed to have deived from Karnapur (meaning town of Karna, one of the heroes of the Mahabharata). Another theory is that it came from the nearby town of Makanpur, earlier known as Khairabad, where the Sufi saint of the Madariya Sufi order, Badiuddin Zinda Shah Madar, settled.

Kanpur Central is one of five Central railway stations in India. It is the busiest railway station in India in terms of frequency of trains. Around 672 trains passes through the station daily. It is a major intercity rail and commuter rail station in the city of Kanpur, and is situated on the Howrah - Delhi broad gauge route passing through Uttar Pradesh and it is fact that 259 routes including howrah delhi line cant be operated without it. It is the busiest station of the North Central Railways, recording traffic of more than 750,000 passengers per day and more than 1760 stations are directly connected to it which is highest in the country. After determining the railway stations that need to be world-class, former Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee included Kanpur Central in her list. She included funding for this work in her 50 World-Class Railway Stations budget. A phased revamping has begun.
Though the re-modelling of Kanpur Central Station began a long time ago, it is being done gradually in phases. At present, the re-modelling work is proceeding very slowly, but senior NCR officials are hopeful of keeping their promise of providing a new, improved look to Kanpur Central in the near future.
The present station was built in 1928, though the imposing building was completed in 1930. The building's construction is inspired by Lucknow's magnificent Lucknow Charbagh railway station building which was built by the British in 1914; however, it could not be constructed identically to Charbagh because it would have been enormously expensive

RISHYAP-LAVA-LOLEYGAON
Rishop or also spelt as Rishyap is a Himalayan hamlet in West Bengal. 2591 m above sea-level, it's a nice quaint village away from city crowds, with picturesque views of snow-capped mountains. The sun plays vermillion through the day. At night the big sky seems to come closer. Beneath the sky the twinkling lights of Gangtok & Pedong are similar to the twinkling stars above. Tourists are attracted by the natural beauty of Neora Valley National Park (Sikkim) & Tiffindara. Both are enjoyed through trekking route which is a deep silent forest of pine, birch, fir & orchids with some soothing path following the chirps.
Lava is a small village, surrounded by virgin pine forests and often hidden in mists and clouds at an altitude of 2,350 meters, this small village lies 34 kilometers away from Kalimpong on the old trade route to Bhutan. It has a beautiful monastery of Bhutanese origin and a Nature Interpretation Centre. Popular for nature exploration and bird watching, it is also the starting point for treks into the Neora National Park, which abounds with floral and faunal wealth.
Lolegaon is a fabulous destination for the lovers of wildlife in their natural habitat. The age-old forest of towering pine, cypress and oaks with their mossy trunk is an ideal place for watching endangered Himalayan species like black bear and mountain goats, numerous colourful birds and butterflies and rare orchids. This film was created by me (Robin De - 9830057984) in the year of 2003.
