Uralla is a town on the Northern Tablelands, New South Wales, Australia. The town is located at the intersection of the New England Highway and Thunderbolts Way, 465 kilometres north of Sydney and about 23 kilometres south west of the city of Armidale. At the 2011 census, the township of Uralla had a population of 2,388 people, while the larger gazetted locality of 193.5 km2 had a population of 2,754 people.At more than 1,000 metres above sea level, Uralla's high altitude makes for cool to cold winters and mild summers. The Apsley Falls are two waterfalls on the Apsley River in the Northern Tablelands region of New South Wales, Australia. The falls are located about 20 kilometres east of Walcha, and 1 kilometre off the Oxley Highway in a deep gorge, that is part of the Oxley Wild Rivers National Park. They are the first falls in a succession of dramatic drops in an area that has some of the most remarkable scenery in Eastern Australia. The first drop of the falls is about 65 metres in depth, and the second, which is about 800 metres further on, plummets 58 metres metres to the bottom of the gorge.

Ebor is a village on Waterfall Way on the Northern Tablelands in New South Wales, Australia. It is situated about 80 km east of Armidale and about a third of the way between Armidale and the coast. Dorrigo to the east is 46 kilometres away with the Coffs Coast 55 kilometres beyond along the Waterfall Way. In the 2016 census, Ebor had a population of 166.

Cathedral Rock is a national park 8 kilometres west of Waterfall Way in New South Wales, Australia, 70 kilometres east of Armidale and about 555 kilometres north of Sydney. This park is lying between the Guy Fawkes River and Macleay Range, and is about six kilometres west of Ebor, New South Wales. The highest peak of the New England Tableland, Round Mountain, is located in the park.

151. The Glen, Uralla NSW

The Glen at Uralla in NSW is a 48 hour Free camp rest area, just 85kms north of Tamworth and approx 20kms south of Armidale.
A great spot, we were the only ones there the night of our stay.
Toilets and Water are available in the Rotary Park opposite the Rest area.
It is close to the Highway and does have some truck noise.
It is pet friendly and there's a off leash dog park behind it.
We had excellent coverage with Telstra, Vodafone and Optus.
The cost to stay is Free
Our stay was 9-10th October 2017.

Take a 2 minute vacation with us to Dunns Swamp (or Ganguddy as it's known to local Aboriginal people) and get a taste for the local!

There's so much more to New South Wales than world class beaches and coastline. Explore Country NSW at the World Heritage listed Wollemi National Park. Just a couple of hours Norther West of Sydney.

We pitched up alongside the picturesque Cudgegong river, nestled in-between Gum Trees and nature. And there's so much to see and do! Kayaking and hiking - breath taking views to discover and amazing animals to spot - I lost count of how many long neck turtles we saw!

And Mudgee town, famous for it's fantastic wineries, is a just over an hour drive away. Perfect for a day trip and a bit of self indulgence! And while you're out and about, check out the quaint townships full of art and local produce in the surrounding areas.

You might not, however, feel like venturing out of the campground - and we wouldn't blame you. It's bliss!

Texas Free(dom) bush camp on NSW side of the Dumaresq River.wmv

Beautiful free(dom) bush camping on the banks of the Dumaresq River just outside the township of Texas. Two areas available, one on each side of the Qld / NSW border. NSW side is rougher, while the Qld side is overall well grassed and cleared. No facilities exist.

Texas township is well resourced and includes toilets and showers.
