  • 4. Sapta Ratna Pagoda Sorong
The Sapta Ratna Pagoda is a relatively new Chinese pagoda built just 25 years ago in Sorong, West Papua province, Indonesia. It was initially intended as a burial center for the ashes of all Buddhists who died but because of its location and architecture it has now also become a major tourist attraction. Located on top of a hill, the Sapta Ratna Pagoda stands as a majestic landmark in the city. The best thing about this pagoda is the beautiful view of surrounding city from the top; and if you are lucky to be visiting in the evening, you will get a chance to see one of the best sunsets in Indonesia. Each month about 7,000 locals and foreigners visit the pagoda.
