The Searles Castle is located in Windham, New Hampshire, in the United States. Edward Francis Searles commissioned its design and construction. Construction began in 1905 and was completed in 1915. It was intended to be a 1/4-scale replica of the medieval Tudor manor of Stanton Harcourt in Oxfordshire, England, but since most of the manor had been torn down in the 18th century, the castle bears little resemblance to the historical structure. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on January 11, 1982 as the Searles School and Chapel.

Londonderry is a town in western Rockingham County, New Hampshire, United States. The town is bordered on the north by the city of Manchester and on the east by the town of Derry. The population was 24,129 at the 2010 census. Londonderry is known for its apple orchards and is home to the headquarters of Stonyfield Farm and partial home to Manchester-Boston Regional Airport.

The more densely settled portion of town, where 11,037 people resided at the 2010 census, is defined as the Londonderry census-designated place (CDP) and roughly occupies the eastern and southern parts of town, around New Hampshire Route 102.

The history of the town of Londonderry dates from 1718 when a group of Irish immigrants visited the area then called Nutfield and decided it would be a good site for a community. Excursion Into Coos County New Hampshire

The northern 1/3 of NH is pretty desolate with a population of about 30k. Recently I went to one of the most remote parts of Coos County New Hampshire and drove four miles up a dirt road, another two miles up a non-maintained road for 4x4 use, and then pulled off on a temporary logging road where some trees had recently been cut. Nearest human was probably four miles from me. Great spot to lay in the back of a truck and look at stars at night.
