Georgetown, Exumas, Bahamas
--Flights--
Flights to Georgetown, Exuma in the Bahamas can be a bit tricky. There are only a few flights each day to the main airport there. If you are flying from the continental United States, you'll likely have a layover in Florida en route to Georgetown. Upon arrival in Exuma, you'll walk through a very small customs area before exiting and
--Lodging--
There are only a few resort options in Exuma. Most are going to be quite pricey, you can also find decent AirBnb's or lower end hotels, however, those will not be all inclusive or have a lot of options for food and drink. We stayed at Sandals Emerald Bay, which overall was extremely nice, we likely take a different approach the next time we went. If you are looking to just be on the resort all day and night, then this would be the way to go. But Exuma offers a lot in terms of water activities and exploring.
--Activities--
We rented a private tour through Robert's Island Adventures ( Seeing as I was planning on proposing to my then girlfriend, I wanted the private tour, which ran $1,500 for the day, but you could have up to 8 people. The group tours are much, much cheaper, but less intimate. Along with the private tour, you can customize it to do whatever you would like. They provided drinks for us as we made our way to see the iguanas, nurse sharks, swimming with the pigs, celebrity homes, and sandbars.
Iguanas
This was the first stop on our tour. You pull up to a beach where there are hundreds of iguanas. It was a short stop, but fun to stop and see.
Sandbar
While this was where I was planning on proposing, due to the hurricane Irma, the sandbar was about 2 feet underwater. When the sandbar is there, its about 10 feet wide and goes for about a mile or two. We were the only ones out there at the time. Almost every stop, at some point, we were the only ones on the beach or area.
Swimming with Pigs
Most people have heard of the famous swimming with pigs there in Exuma. Its a very unique experience and we would highly recommend it. Seeing pigs relaxing on the beach and swimming up to your boat was a lot of fun. You'll likely spend 30 minutes or so here, but you'll get a chance to swim with them and hold them while taking some pictures.

Also wieder her mit der langweiligen Musik ...
