Xcalak - Off the Beaten Path Places to Visit in Mexico - YouTube
Xcalak is a village of 375 inhabitants in the municipality of Othón P. Blanco, Quintana Roo, on the Caribbean coast of Mexico.
La Costa Maya, ( Costa Maya) a rustic but beautiful part of the Mexican Caribbean.
Xcalak is the most southern town in the state of Quintana Roo, just 7 miles by water from the Central American country of Belize. This is a great place for those who are seeking the remote, less refined areas of the Caribbean Coast, think 'Old Mexico or Playa Del Carmen before the tourists arrived, with all its natural beauty above and below the waterline Xcalak is a great place to unwind.

*Mayá: The Lost Mayan Kingdom

Bacalar-The Most Beautiful Place to Swim in Mexico
Laguna Bacalar is without a doubt, the most beautiful body of water I've ever seen. But first, we visited Casa Cenote near Tulum, where we got to swim with a big ol' Alligator. We then drove 2 hours south to Bacalar and spent 4 amazing days playing in the crystal clear water. Food poisoning on Ali's birthday was a grande bummer, but she rallied and the next day we were back on the water enjoying paradise.

Mexico Amazing Places - Beautiful Places - YouTube
Going off the beaten track and exploring our world can be fairly easy if that is what you choose for your vacation getaway.
Cancun and the Riviera Maya are the most known Yucatan destination in Mexico, but an excellent highway heading south towards midst can take you to a new world of exploration and adventure amid spectacular beauty.
Costa Maya, Mahahual and Banco Chinchorro await the adventuresome traveler. The pace is slow but that doesn't mean you have to do without, there are great boutique hotels, restaurants and activities to keep you going everyday from morning till late into the night.

SCUBA DIVING WITH TARPON IN XCALAK MEXICO
Xcalak, Mexico is a bit far off the beaten path. While quite close to Tulum, Playa del Carmen, and Cancun, rarely do tourists venture further south than the cruise ship town of Mahahual.
When you get to this sleepy beach town, you'll realize there's not too much there. A few tiendas selling groceries, a taco shop, and also... one of the nicest PADI dive shops I've ever seen.
I had watched a few videos of swimming with Crocodiles and Sailfish, scuba dives I didn't think you could do in Mexico, also I had my eye on diving a remote island reef called Banco Chinchorro. I investigated how to do each, and they all traced back to XTC diveshop in Xcalak.
During this time of year (April) the main attraction was diving with Tarpon, a huge 2 meter long silver-sided fish, that is often quite a trophy for fishermen. Here, fishing was off the table, but diving with these giants was in full season
During my stay here I ended up diving the site twice, as well as many other surrounding dive sites. This is one video of a few showcasing the diving in and around Xcalak and Banco Chinchorro.
Thoughts on what I said at the end of the video? How much more diving do you want to see on this channel? Should I make a second one?

Beautiful Mexico Beach - Riviera Maya - YouTube
Not all beaches a broad and wide but even the narrow ones are beautiful and there's nothing like a barefoot walk along a soft sand beach in the warm sunshine of the Riviera Maya, Mexico.
