Spring at Planty Park Cracow [4K] City Walk in Poland / #CracowWalk4K

During the walk you can see mostly on the left hand side stones that are remnant parts of the defensive fortification from the Kraków city fortress, and many more:
0:41 - those red bricks on the ground indicate where the Szewska Gate was located in the past,
0:49 - notice beautiful chestnut trees and their wonderful flowers which during the whole walk are possible to see in the park,
3:13 - Jagiellonian University
6:46 - on the ground you can see the outline shape of the Wiślna Gate from the past,
10:55 - afar off is the Wawel Castle
22:55 - on the ground you can notice stones, they indicate where the Nowa Gate was located in the past,
25:00 - this was a small Rzeźnicza Gate in the past,
29:27 - the Holy Cross Church from XIV century (koścół św. Krzyża),

And here is more about Planty. This park is one of the largest city parks in Kraków, Poland. It encircles the Stare Miasto (Old Town), where the Medieval city walls used to stand until the early 19th century. The historic Old Town is not to be confused with the Administrative District No. 1 Stare Miasto extending further east.
The park has an area of 21,000 square meters (5.2 acres) and a length of 4 kilometers (2.5 mi). It consists of a chain of thirty smaller gardens designed in varied styles and adorned with numerous monuments and fountains. There are over twenty statues of noble historical figures in the park – monuments of Nicolaus Copernicus, Jan Matejko, queen Jadwiga and king Wladyslaw II Jagiello, just to name a few. There are also several plaques in the park commemorating, among others, Jan Dlugosz and Stanislaw Wyspianski.

The park forms a scenic walkway popular with Cracovians. In summer, sprinkled with ponds and refreshment stalls, it is a cool and shady retreat from the nearby bustling streets.

Most historic sites of the old Kraków are located inside the Planty-park-belt along the Royal Road (Polish: Droga Królewska) crossing the park from the medieval suburb of Kleparz – through Florian Gate – at the northern flank of the old city walls. The historic Wawel Castle at the Wawel Hill, adjacent to Vistula River meander, form the southernmost border of Planty.

BUCHAŁÓW-LEŚNIÓW WLK-NIETKÓW Bike Trip - part 3 of 13 New forestry road and car-park-on the way to Drzonów
My next biking in May to Nietków nearby the Odra river.Really interesting route,distance about 54 km at nice,sunny and warm weather,very good conditions for biking.WILKANOWO was a first village I went through.After crossing ringroad behind Wilkanowo I was biking along the local road to SŁONE,another small village on the way.10 km from Zielona Góra there was next village called BUCHAŁÓW.There also started a new (after renovation) forestry road.Then a stopped at the carpark in the forest for a while to rest.After that i went through DRZONÓW where Military Museum is located.From that place i was biking through forest areas again and reached LEŚNIÓW WLK,a village where is an old historical church and an old wooden windmill as well.There i had some time to show the countryside and tell something about the windmill history!After a short rest there was interesting biking down the hill to NIETKÓW that is located nearby the Odra,the second largest river in Poland.Of course I visited the odra after going through Nietków and showed the railway bridge as well.My biking back was through CZERWIEŃSK where i stopped at the local water reservoir.Finally I went back through PŁOTY and PRZYLEP!Hope u will enjoy my new bike trip!Have a nice watching!Amnas2011

Wycieczka rowerowa BUCHAŁÓW-LEŚNIÓW WLK-NIETKÓW (13 części)-część 3 Nowa leśna szosa i parking-w drodze do Drzonowa
Moja kolejna wycieczka rowerowa do Nietkowa i nad Odrę pod koniec maja.Wspaniała interesująca trasa o długości 54 km przy pięknej słonecznej pogodzie,świetne warunki jazdy.Moj start w Wilkanowie,małej wsi 5 km na zachód od Zielonej Góry.Po przekroczeniu głównej obwodnicy znalazłem się w Słonym,i z kolei minąłem wieś Buchałów i znalazłem się na zupełnie nowej odremontowanej drodze w kierunku na Drzonów.Po krótkim odpoczynku na leśnym parkingu dojechałem do Drzonowa gdzie znajduje się znane Muzeum Wojskowe.A tamtąd udałem się lokalną drogą do Leśniowa Wlk,dalsza trasa wiodła przez tereny leśne.W Leśniowie Wlk zatrzymałem się w pobliżu starego,zabytkowego kościoła oraz przy wiatraku na wzgórzu gdzie była okazja trochę wypocząć.Po chwili relaksu udałem się w dalszą podróż do Nietkowa do której to wsi prowadzi droga ostro w dół.Po minięciu wsi dojechałem do wałów nad Odrą i wkrótce znalazłem się nad samą rzeką.Zwiedziłem również miejscowy most kolejowy w Nietkowicach i z tamtąd udałem się w drogę powrotną przez Czerwieńsk zatrzumując się przy miejscowym zbiorniku wodnym.Powrót do Zielonej Góry przez Płoty i Przylep.Zapraszam na wycieczkę i życzę przyjemnego odbioru!Amnas2011
