「八幡平ドラゴンアイ」（鏡沼）は、秋田県と岩手県にまたがる八幡平（はちまんたい）の頂上付近で見ることができる、幻の絶景です。
雪と氷が織りなす神秘的な瞳は、沼、空、天候といった様々な自然条件が一致したときにのみ、ドーナツ状に雪が解け、龍の眼のような姿を現します。
