THE 7 KINGS OF THAILAND HUA HIN
The seven Kings
Standing from left to right are:
King Ramkhamhaeng the Great

The King expanded the Sukhothai empire, developed the Thai alphabet and led successful military campaigns against the Khmer of Angkor.
King Naresuan the Great
King of Ayutthaya from 1590 until 1605.
During Naresuan’s reign many battles were fought between Ayutthaya and Burma. The King is best known for the elephant battle of Nong Sarai. Outnumbered by enemy troops, King Naresuan attacked the Burmese leader, both on elephants. Naresuan killed the Burmese, after which the Burmese armies fled.
King Narai the Great
King of Ayutthaya from 1656 until 1688.
King Narai ruled Ayutthaya when the Kingdom was at the height of its power and prosperity. The King established diplomatic relations with several foreign countries including France.
King Taksin the Great
King of Thonburi from 1767 until 1782.
After the destruction of Ayutthaya in 1767, Taksin established the Thonburi Kingdom. Its capital lay on the West bank of the Chao Phraya river opposite present day Bangkok. He unified Siam after it had fallen apart following the sacking of Ayutthaya. King Taksin liberated Siam from the Burmese.
King Buddha Yodfa Chulalok the Great
King of Siam from 1782 until 1809.
King Buddha Yodfa Chulalok the Great, also known as Rama I, founded the currently ruling Chakri dynasty. The King succeeded Taksin and established Bangkok as the new capital of the Kingdom. During his reign attacking armies from Burma were defeated.
King Mongkut

King Mongkut, also known as Rama IV spent many years as a Buddhist monk before he ascended the throne. He was the founder of the Dhammayuttika Nikaya, a monastic order that started as a reform movement intended to reinforce the canon law. Also known as “The father of science and technology”, King Mongkut modernized Siam.
King Chulalongkorn the Great

His Majesty King Vajiravudh's (Rama VI) Summer Palace—Hua Hin, Thailand—on RodMcNeil.TV

Maruekatayawan (Mrigadayavan) Palace is one of the oldest and most attractive royal palaces in Thailand. The Maruekatayawan Palace was constructed by His Majesty King Vajiravudh (Rama VI) in 1923 as a place where he could fully relax in great comfort amid a naturally serene atmosphere.
It was designed by an Italian architect with lots of verandas, latticework and covered boardwalks using golden teak from the demolished Hat Chao Samran Palace. The architectural design of the raised-floor wooden palace, with its three sections facing the sea, was drafted by the Monarch himself. Following the completion of the interior decoration in 1924, the King gave it his first visit and stay. His last visit to this seaside palace was made only a few months before his demise in 1925.
This palace is noted for three two story wooden pavilions facing the sea, and is referred to as the palace of love and hope. Series of halls are linked together throughout the palace. Residential halls of the royal consort members are located on the right wing. The central group of halls which is the royal residence consists of royal sitting and relaxing rooms, accommodations for close royal servants called Phisan Sakhon Hall, and the reading room.
In addition, Samoson Sewakamat Hall, a two-storey open pavilion, is used as a meeting place, and sometimes as a theater. Two important dramas were shown on this stage in 1941: Phra Ruang and Wiwah Phra Samut. Chao Phraya Ramrakhop ordered a statue of King Vajiravudh, as a royal dedication, to be enshrined in the hall of Marukhathaiyawan Palace. An annual rite is conducted on November 25, the anniversary of King Vajiravudh's death.
This is one of the many attractive places in Thailand that is a must to visit. This teakwood treasure (known for convenience as The Wooden Palace) stands on Hua Hin beachfront and, now restored. It is proudly billed as The Longest Golden Teak Palace in the World. This palace is only a few minutes by car from Hua Hin.

Rajabhakti Park med 7 Thailändska jätte kungastatyer. Giant Kings!

King Mongkut of Siam
King Mongkut or Phra Bat Somdet Phra Poramenthramaha Mongkut Phra Chom Klao Chao Yu Hua was the fourth King of Siam of the Chakri dynasty. He came to the throne in 1851. Most known in the west for his part in The King and I it was King Mongkut who led Siam through a difficult period when neighboring countries on all sides were coming under British or French rule. He began to modernize Siam and was adept at keeping foreign nations at a distance, securing Siamese independence. 1876-1903 Silver Coins of Siam (Thailand) King Five Chulalongkorn พระปิยมหาราช
I broke these out of their holders so we can enjoy the luster in natural sunlight without the distraction of glare off the plastic. There are a one baht and a one eighth baht coin that are simply dated between 1876 and 1900, as well as one silver baht coin dated to Rattanakosin era 122, or 1903. (Year 1 of the Rattanakosin Kingdom is 1781). The present king of Thailand,
Number Ten is directly descended through the male line from this King, and from King One of the late 1700's.
My Thai wife has prayed to this king to successfully pass entrance examinations, get accepted to the university of her choice, and finally to have a healthy baby boy. Each time we go back, to thank him, we visit the equestrian statue of him in front of the Thai Parliament building, where people are always lighting smell sticks and placing those dry flower rings. Also, this king is known to appreciate being left a flask of whiskey.
Chulalongkorn, also known as King Rama V, reigning title Phra Chula Chom Klao Chao Yu Hua[a] (September 20, 1853 to October 23, 1910), was the fifth monarch of Siam under the House of Chakri. His reign was characterized by the modernization of Siam, governmental and social reforms, and territorial concessions to the British and French. As Siam was threatened by Western expansionism, Chulalongkorn, through his policies and acts, managed to save Siam from colonization. His reforms were dedicated to preserving Siam's independence in the face of Western colonialism, so that Chulalongkorn earned the nickname Phra Piya Maharat (พระปิยมหาราช, the Great Beloved King).
