GREEK FOOD tour in ATHENS | SECRET MEZE restaurant | Greek street food in ATHENS, GREECE
We're in Athens, Greece! In this 4 part series we're exploring Greece's capital city to hunt down the best local Greek food. In this video we hunt down some Greek street food, sample popular local dishes and share a secret mezze restaurant with you, our favourite in Athens.
We start off with a breakfast pastry called bougatsa made of phyllo and semolina custard, washed down with the local drink of Freddo Espresso- espresso blended in a milkshake maker and served over ice. We then taste a kourou tiropita, a Greek feta pie from a local bakery which locals say do amazing pies. We then visit a family run peinirli shop and eat two mouthwatering peinirli- a boat shaped dough baked with a cheesy, buttery filling. We can totally see why these are so popular!
We end with a full mezze spread at Avli- a local taverna hidden behind a narrow door- it's a blink and you'll miss it kind of a place! From grilled loukaniko (sausage) to keftedakia (meatballs) we share some Greek mezze plates with you. We hope you enjoyed this Greek food video from Athens! #greekstreetfood #athensstreetfood #streetfood

Visit Greece | Shopping in Athens: A Nice day - Khám phá Athens, Hy Lạp
Athens is a city of many contradictions. There is the glitzy shopping area along tram route 3, the major department store near Syntagma Square called Attica, the bartering shopping streets of Monistiriaki and the locals market each saturday on tram routes 2 and 5.
The main goods easily found in Athens are phones, clothes, shoes and tourist related goods. Athens is a dramatic city with amazing sights and well worth visiting.

Santorini is considered to be the most sought after place for a romantic getaway and a growing reputation as a wedding destination for couples from all over the world. What makes it so unique is the famous sunset making it the ultimate romantic experience!

More about Thira:
Thira: The capital of Santorini is called Thira or sometimes called Fira. It is located in the west of the island, located on top of a cliff looking at a volcano. Santorini is the result of an incredible explosion that happened over 3500 years ago. The island has been constantly shaken by earthquakes, the last one happened this century. Welcome to Patmos, Greece ????????The Secret Greek Island you haven't heard of. We Love Greece ❤️
We’re in Patmos! A relatively undiscovered island in the Dodecanese Islands of Greece. There is no airport in Patmos so you have to come here by boat, making it feel quieter and more untouched.
We start things off at one of the highest points on the island with amazing views, the capital of Patmos called Chora. Chora is a small town with the Monastery of St. John at the very top. We spend some time exploring the cute town and also get some lunch. Patmos is very famous for being a Christian Pilgrimage site, it contains the Cave of the Revelation where John of Patmos was thought to have written the Book of Revelations (the last book of the Bible).
After this we head to a small beach town in Patmos called Grikos. We spend some time here just lounging on the beach.
Later we head make to one of the main areas of Patmos called Skala. This is likely where you’ll stay if you come to the island, it’s where the ferries arrive to and also where the majority of restaurants are.
ABOUT PATMOS
Patmos, an Aegean island in the north of Greece’s Dodecanese island group, is a significant Christian pilgrimage site. Its Cave of the Apocalypse is where John of Patmos (St. John the Theologian) is said to have written the Book of Revelations. A fortresslike, 11th-century monastery dedicated to the saint overlooks the whitewashed houses of the hilltop capital, Hora (also known as Chora).

GREEK STREET FOOD TOUR | Best GYROS in Athens + traditional Greek steakhouse | ATHENS STREET FOOD
We're in Athens, Greece! In this 4 part series we're exploring Athens to hunt down the best local Athens food. Today's it's all about Greek street food- we start off with the famous Greek pie- spanakopita. This spinach and phyllo pie is from a local bakery which churns out over 400 pies a day- they're really popular. Spinach and onion sandwiched between sheets of phyllo- the spanakopita is mouthwatering! Onwards to our next snack- the gyros! It took us ages to find a really good gyros to film as there are so many average ones out there! Gyros pita are a really popular street snack in Athens- they're made up of roasted meat carved off a vertical spit (like a doner kebab) and stuffed inside a pita with tzatziki, tomato, onions and chips. The one in this video features incredibly juicy, flavoursome pork. Next up, more pork from a traditional steakhouse. Thinly pounded pork steaks are cooked over charcoal and served with chips and bread. Drizzled with lemon juice and a sprinkling of oregano, the meat is so tender! We round off our Greek street food tour with ice cream from Kokkion, a local artisanal ice cream shop. We hope you enjoyed this Athens street food video, thanks for watching! #greekstreetfood #athensfood #greekfood #streetfood
What we ate and where we ate it:
Spanakopita at ΜΑΚΕΔΟΝΙΚΟΝ, Solonos 73, Athina 106 79, Greece. Open Monday to Friday 6:15 to 8:15pm and Saturday 6:15am to 5:00pm.
Gyros at ΠΡΟΔΟΡΠΙΟΝ, Akadimias 52, Athina 106 79, Greece. Open Monday to Saturday 10:00am to midnight.

Rhodes Best Gyro. Greece's most popular Street Food! ????
In this week’s video we head out on a mission to try to find the best Gyro on the island of Rhodes (or maybe even Greece?)!
Stop number one was right in Rhodes town in the area of new town. We had a difficult time trying of find out the actual name of it, on Google maps it comes up as Gyros Pita but we did notice a sign outside that said Kellides.
For our second Gyro we stopped in the beach town of Faliraki to a place called Pita Art.
For our third and final Pita we headed to the beautiful town of Lindos. Here we stopped at at Gyro shop called Estia.
ABOUT THE GREEK GYRO
A gyro or gyros is a Greek dish made from meat cooked on a vertical rotisserie. Like shawarma and tacos al pastor, it is derived from the lamb-based doner kebab. In Greece it is now most often pork or chicken, while a mixture of beef and lamb is common in the US and other countries

Two ceremonies took place there, the wedding and the baptism.
As the Greek Orthodox Church commands, the wedding is the first sacrament performed and then follows that of baptism.
The wedding decoration was outstanding, the bride had chosen roses.
The reception was spectacular. It took place at a wedding venue at Korope, just a breath away from Athens.
It was November and the weather was rather cold. Therefore, the reception was held indoors. The outdoor area though was gorgeous with a pool and many trees.
DJ’s music, the fireworks, the champagne and people’s mood made this wedding and wedding reception special and memorable for all the guests.

Santorini Hidden Gems. Epic Views + Cave Home Tour. What to do on the Island.
Looking for things to do in Santorini? Well this is the video for you. We spent a day discovering some less explored areas of Santorini to find hidden gems and amazing views of the island.
We started in the town we were staying in the centre of the island called Vothonas. Here we checked out some old caves in the side of the hill that were formerly homes. We took a bit of a walk and then gave our tour of our AirBNB.
If you’re wanting to see the listing or book it, you can find it here:
To save money on your first AirBNB booking click here:
After that we took our car rental and headed to the small and quiet town of Pyrgos, here you find the pretty streets and blue domes that you picture in Santorini but without all the people. You also have great views over the island.
Next we drove to the lighthouse at the very tip of the island to called Akrotiri. A lot of people go there to watch the sunsets but during the day there weren’t too many people there. From here you can see the entire island of Santorini. We flew the drone to get some better views.
Santorini is known for its wine so lastly we headed to a winery called Venetsanos to do a wine tasting and because the winery is right on the edge of a cliff, we enjoyed the most amazing views of the island.
Santorini:
Santorini is an island in Greece, located in the Aegean Sea, 200 km southeast of Athens, 150 km south of Mykonos, and 140 km north of Crete. Flights to Santorini take 4 hours from London, 3.5 hours from Paris, 2 hours from Rome, and 1 hour from Athens.
The towns of Fira, Oia, Firostefani, Imerovigli, and Akrotiri cling to the 300m cliffs and have magical views of the caldera and volcano to the west. The beach towns of Kamari, Perissa, Perivolos, and Agios Georgios are on the east and south sides of the island (not the caldera). For most travelers, the best place to stay in Santorini is along the caldera.
Pyrgos:
Pyrgos village is situated in the centre of Santorini, 8km southeast of Fira. Pyrgos is built like an amphitheater at the top of a hill. This amazing point offers some of the best view of the island. With only 700 inhabitants, Pyrgos is one of the most vivid settlements of Santorini all year round. The hillside villages are a protected settlement in 1995. Some of the most famous landmarks are the ruins of the Venetian fortification castle or kasteli as the locals call it.
Trekkers will find amazing natural beauty around Pyrgos. Among others there is the old Medieval path that leads from Pyrgos to Emporeio village (1 hour and 30 minutes).
Akrotiri:
The Akrotiri peninsula is known of course for the famous ruins from the Minoan period. The actual village of Akrotiri is not as well known and that is for a number of reasons. The main reason is that the road to the archaeological site does not even go through the town. Tourists see the site and then head for the next spot on their itinerary or else to the beach. Very few go to the village. So on the island that is probably the most popular tourist destinations in Greece there is a village with many of the qualities of a remote island.
You will find amazing historical sites, great views and nearby beaches to visit. Definitely a must in Santorini.
Venetsanos winery:
Venetsanos winery is located right above the port of Athinios, overlooking the magnificent caldera of Santorini. The Venetsanos family has a very long tradition in producing wine. Originally was produced for the island and subsequently it was exported extensively, and particularly to countries such as Russia. It was built in 1947 by Venetsanos family and became the first industrial winery on the island. Its most distinguished feature is the structural design, which essentially used gravity, facilitating energy efficiency, at a time when access to electricity and other energy sources was very limited.

Officials say a gunman fired a spray of bullets at the headquarters of the governing center-right New Democracy party near central Athens Monday. One bullet hit an office occasionally used by the Greek prime minister. (Jan. 14)
