Japan's First Lady Akie Abe visits PNGDF Military Band that was Funded and Trained by Japan
First Lady Akie Abe, wife of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe visited the PNGDF Military Band at Murray Barracks yesterday (17 November, 2018).
The band was trained and equipped with Japanese Assistance for the past three years, through the JICA ODA grant fund.
The visit by the First Lady signifies the relationship the PNGDF has with Japan.

Japan loans Việt Nam US$108.2 m
The Japanese Government will provide the Vietnamese Government with a loan of (US$108.2 million) in fiscal year 2016 to improve socioeconomic infrastructure and the competitiveness of the national economy. A diplomatic agreement to this effect was signed in Hà Nội on Tuesday by the Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment, Nguyễn Văn Trung, and by the Japanese Ambassador to Việt Nam, Hiroshi Fukada.

We are working with UNICEF on the reconstruction of this school, so that the children can help in the reconstruction of Iraq.

STORYLINE
Japan's senior deputy foreign minister on Monday visited a school in Baghdad as part of his mission to assess the need for Japanese assistance in the reconstruction and rehabilitation of Iraq.
Motegi Toshimitsu was shown around the school and met teachers and UNICEF officials who are helping to get the Iraqi education system up and running.
Conditions for children in Baghdad schools are still very poor - buildings are damaged and there are virtually no educational supplies for teachers.
Toshimitsu heard from staff on how difficult the situation is for schools throughout Iraq.

Ngoại trưởng Nhật Bản Motegi Toshimitsu thăm chính thức Việt Nam
Sáng 6/1, Thủ tướng Nguyễn Xuân Phúc tiếp Bộ trưởng Ngoại giao Nhật Bản Motegi Toshimitsu đang có chuyến thăm chính thức Việt Nam.
Thủ tướng khẳng định Nhật Bản luôn là đối tác chiến lược quan trọng hàng đầu của Việt Nam, nhất là trong lĩnh vực kinh tế, thương mại, đầu tư.
Thủ tướng đề nghị Chính phủ Nhật Bản hợp tác thúc đẩy tăng cường liên kết giữa hai nền kinh tế, tạo điều kiện thuận lợi để nông, thủy sản Việt Nam tiếp cận thị trường Nhật Bản.
Cùng ngày, Phó Thủ tướng, Bộ trưởng Ngoại giao Phạm Bình Minh hội đàm với Bộ trưởng Ngoại giao Nhật Bản Motegi Toshimitsu.
Hai bên bày tỏ vui mừng trước sự phát triển tốt đẹp, hiệu quả của quan hệ Đối tác chiến lược sâu rộng Việt Nam-Nhật Bản trong thời gian qua.
Phó Thủ tướng, Bộ trưởng Ngoại giao Phạm Bình Minh khẳng định chính sách nhất quán của Việt Nam coi Nhật Bản là đối tác quan trọng hàng đầu.
Bộ trưởng Motegi Toshimitsu khẳng định Nhật Bản ủng hộ và sẽ hợp tác chặt chẽ để Việt Nam đảm nhiệm thành công vai trò Chủ tịch ASEAN 2020 và Ủy viên không thường trực HĐBA LHQ nhiệm kỳ 2020-2021.
Hai bên nhất trí tăng cường hợp tác trong các lĩnh vực đầu tư, thương mại, ODA, phát triển nguồn nhân lực, chống biến đổi khí hậu…
Phó Thủ tướng, Bộ trưởng Ngoại giao Phạm Bình Minh đề nghị Chính phủ Nhật Bản khuyến khích doanh nghiệp Nhật Bản tích cực đưa các công ty Việt Nam tham gia vào chuỗi cung ứng, đồng thời sớm cho phép nhập khẩu quả nhãn của Việt Nam.
Hai bên nhất trí phối hợp trong lĩnh vực tiếp nhận thực tập sinh, lao động, loại bỏ những công ty tiếp nhận lao động, tổ chức môi giới du học không lành mạnh nhằm bảo đảm quyền lợi chính đáng của lao động, thực tập sinh, lưu học sinh Việt Nam tại Nhật Bản.

Yoko from Yoko Oda Interior Design was able to develop an interior concept based off of one of Alix's painting (that hangs in the entry). That painting was the basis for the entire color palette throughout the home.
