Time to revisit Pontypool? Heritage.
Pontypool is one of the oldest industrial towns in south Wales. Today this legacy is kept alive by Pontypool Museum, while in Pontypool Park you can still visit the Shell Grotto and Folly tower that date back to the 1700s.

Llancarfan War Memorial
Llancarfan War Memorial, Vale of Glamorgan. This is probably the only example of a memorial in South Wales that is in the style of those in the recognised Welsh-speaking areas in that names are accompanied by home locations. The area is very rich in historical detail, organised religion dates back at least 1500 years. Filmed 03/04/2017

Welsh miners - The 'Stute - First Light
The 'Stute is about Oakdale Welsh Miners Institute which was moved from its original site to the National History Museum in the St. Fagan's area of Cardiff. Through original voice recordings of people who lived in Oakdale, the film relives the days when the 'Stute was a thriving institution and cultural centre of the community. These recording were the starting point for this touching animated film about the Institute and all the emotional stories that were once wrapped up inside it.

RAF Tangmere Air Raid Shelter Remains
A short video made from photographs taken on Sunday 17th July 2011 showing the air raid shelter display at Tangmere Military Aviation Museum in West Sussex. The shelter shown is part of a much longer structure which was rescued by the museum from being demolished. A recording detailing the Luftwaffe attack on RAF Tangmere in 16th August 1940 is available when entering the air raid shelter and has been added over this video. Due to the length of the sound recording the photographs have been repeated. For more information on the museum please visit the following;

Valleys of South Wales Part 2
View this video and take a journey of discovery. You may already have a picture in your mind of what the world famous Welsh Valleys are all about. It probably needs an update. We'd like to introduce you to the Valleys of today and spring a few surprises along the way. For a start you won't see a coal mine (unless it happens to be a museum). What you will see are lakes and forests, open hillsides and green mountains. They're all part of a unique, roller-coaster landscape of hills and vales dotted with friendly towns and villages. But don't take our word for it. Listen to Nicole Cooke, Olympic and World Champion cycling star, who loves climbing the Valleys' scenic mountain roads as much as the Alps of Italy or France. Or the Rogh Guide, a travel publication renowned for its honesty and accuracy, gives the Valleys a top star rating and describes the destinations as 'interesting and distinctive'.
