Trip Introduction
Annapurna base camp trek is an amazing walk through diverse landscape and culture complete with rich mountain vistas, terraced fields, quaint Gurung villages and a wide variety of flora and fauna. Mt. Annapurna (8091m) of Nepal is the 10th highest mountain in the world and the journey to its base camp, which is at 4130m/13549ft height, is one of the most popular walks on earth. Moreover, we reach our destination via Mt. Machapuchhre (Fishtail) which is revered by the Nepalese for its unique beauty. Furthermore, thanks to the well groomed itinerary of the Annapurna Base Camp trekking package, it is a popular choice among diverse outdoor enthusiasts, from a solo female traveler to hikers travelling in groups to Nepal.

The High Pass: Trekking the Annapurna Circuit in Nepal
The Annapurna Circuit is a trek in central Nepal that climbs to an altitude of 5,400m through Thorung La pass, one of the highest trekking passes in the world, below peaks that rise 6000-8000m in elevation from the Annapurna Range. We attempted to complete the trek in about 15 days starting mid-December of 2013, when the shoulder season promised much smaller crowds but with it a risk of deep snow that early winter can bring to the Pass.

See how it was to travel in Nepal during the fuel crisis, how a hike in Annapurna brought some piece to my mind and enjoy a ride through an amazing valley!
THRILL ADVENTURES NEPAL: A Walk Between Thamel & Kathmandu Durbar Square
Thamel is distinguished by its narrow alleys crowded with various shops and vendors. Commonly sold goods include food, fresh vegetables/fruits, pastries, trekking gear, walking gear, music, DVDs, handicrafts, souvenirs, woolens, clothes. Travel agencies, small grocery stores, budget hotels and restaurants also line the streets. Cars, cycles rickshaws, two-wheelers and taxis ply these narrow streets alongside hundreds of pedestrians.
Kathmandu durbar square is a must see and hard to miss location in the heart of the capital city. The immediate large square is surrounded by ancient Newari architecture, high temples, popular shrines and the old royal palace. Today Kathmandu durbar square is still an active and living square. Filled with people worshiping in shrines, selling goods or simply walking through. It's a living part of Kathmandu city.

Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek - Beauty of Nepal (Part 1)
Thank you for watching my Ghorepani Poon Hill trek video. Visit my website for lots more travel and food -
Normally I don't make videos this long, but since I have been getting some requests for longer videos, I decided to try something a little different with this video and try something a little more like a documentary of reality type of show.
Nepal was truly an amazing country, and part of the reason I visited was to do a trek in the Himalayas, a dream of mine. So after spending some time in Kathmandu, we took a bus to Pokhara in order to check out the situation and arrange our Ghorepani Poon Hill trek in the Annapurna mountain range, located just an hour drive from the city of Pokhara.
We started things off by first taking a taxi from Pokhara to Nayapul which cost 1500 Nepali Rupees. This is a popular starting point for the hike and there were several other groups also beginning. Our first day we trekked from the town of Nayapul to the town of Tikhedunga. For most of day one, we walked along a gravel road, passing villagers, homes, and farms along the way. We took a break to eat lunch, and I ate something known as dal bhat, which is rice with mixed vegetables and dal soup. As we continued to hike, the views became better and better, but nothing compared to what we'd see in the following days. We finally arrived to Tikhedunga, and our small guest house was located at the top of a small hill, next to a stream. It was a beautiful quiet location and the atmosphere was amazing, as was the fresh air. For dinner that night I enjoyed a plate of rice accompanied by a can of fish which I had brought and a plate of fried noodles.
On day two of the Ghorepani Poon Hill trek I woke up early and ate breakfast. In order to save money, I had brought some bags of muesli, which is very cheap to buy in Pokhara or Kathmandu. I also purchased a cup of chai from the guest house. After a lovely breakfast we continued hiking the trail en-route today to Ghorepani, the town at the peak of our trek. The trail was gorgeous and we climbed up and up and up, taking frequent little breaks to drink water and to chow down on power snacks like peanuts and some chocolate. For lunch we took a break at a local restaurant where I ordered dal bhat along with some delicious buffali sukuti, dried meat. It was pretty delicious and some needed protein. The views were absolutely marvelous, and the highlight of the day was catching the first glimpse of the ice covered Himalayan peaks of Nepal! On day two of the Ghorepani Poon Hill trek, we arrived to Ghorepani extremely tired, hungry, and cold. We checked in to our guest house, showered, put on our warm down jackets which we had rented, and then enjoyed sipping on hot cups of tea by the fire. It began to hail and snow, but we could still see the unbelievable views of the Annapurna mountains. We decided to sleep quite early as the next day we were going to wake up early in the morning to climb to the top of Poon Hill for the sunrise view of the Himalayas.
Hope you enjoyed part one of my Ghorepani Poon Hill trek video, be sure to now watch part two for the conclusion and lots of stunning scenery.

PAANCHPOKHARI Sindhupalchok, Nepal - the closest thing to HEAVEN from Kathmandu
#paanchpokhari #nepal We visited the beautiful Paanchpokhari once again, this time of Sindhupalchok during the festival of Janai Purnima. Thanks to our friend Phurpa, we were invited by Paanchpokhari Thangpal Rural Municipality, and its tourism and sports development wing. They have been organizing Paanchpokhari Half-Marathon every year during Janai Purnima and we were there to cover the third edition.
And wow, what an experience! From Shamans clad in vibrant clothes to pilgrims flocking the religious site, from the lush green grasslands full of colorful wild flowers to the breathtaking view of the mountains in the morning, from the friendly locals to one of the tastiest mo:mos we ever had, this was truly an epic experience.
Contrary to popular belief and because of the latest developments, it is now more easier than ever to reach Paanchpokhari.
Special Thanks to Phurpa Lama and friends, Ngima Chhiring Tamang, Ward Chaiperson of Bhotang, Baikuntha Dai and Third Paanchpokhari Half Marathon Organizing Committee for the support.

Gosainkunda: The Sacred Lake trek in Nepal | A Complete Trekking Details
Gosainkunda Trekking in Nepal : This video diary shows you that where trekkers sleep, what they eat, how the condition of the tea houses are and trekking trails and of course scenic beauty of the region. It also includes the interviews with Local and tourists.
Gosainkunda pass trekking is an amazing, short trek in the relatively quite area of the Langtang region. You will be amazed at how remote this area feels, seeing far fewer trekkers than other more populous areas such as the Annapurna or Everest regions. This trek is pure Himalayan magic and all just a day’s journey from Kathmandu.
The Gosainkunda pass trek takes in the stunningly beautiful holy lakes of the Gosiankund, which are considered holy by both Hindus and Buddhists alike. Many Hindus make the pilgrimage to bath in the lakes during the August full moon festival of Janai Purnima.
Heading over the Laurebinayak pass we then head down through steep terraced countryside to the Shivapuri National Park, just north of Kathmandu. The area is home to Tamang, Newari and Chhetri people and is a wonderful example of Nepal’s harmonious ethnic diversity.
In such a short space of time the Gosainkunda pass trek is a real gem, combining peaceful trails, majestic Himalayan scenery, a high pass, breathtakingly beautiful, pristine sacred lakes and a warm welcome from the famously hospitable local population. The Gosainkund pass trek allows you, the lucky trekker, to immerse yourself in this under rated trekking area and explore the exceptional beauty on offer !
