#CAOLTRAVELS: Phoenix, Arizona
Two girls have some change in their pockets and a stable wifi connection, what do they do? Book a ticket someplace new and adventurous, duh!
This was the beginning of an exciting birthday trip, where my bestie Carmen and I lived the western lifestyle in the beautiful state of Arizona.
Our first day there was all about of getting to know Phoenix and enjoying the city before our big road trip to the Grand Canyon. More on that bit coming soon...

ABOUT:
Some of the best scenery in central Arizona can be seen right from a car window along the Apache Trail. A route for the adventurous traveler, the trail is partly paved with a section of the route graded dirt. The road was originally constructed in the 1930s to support the development of dams along the Salt River. The trail is a day-trip from the Phoenix Area and the drive is an experience you will never forget. Along a loop drive of 80 miles, you will find spectacular scenery to rival any in the state. The unpaved section of the trail provides magnificent views of twisted igneous mountains with dense forests of saguaro and ferocactus with several deep blue lakes along the way. That’s just a small part of the adventure and beauty you’ll find here!

????Phoenix, Arizona ????World Barber Shop Adventures
Visiting friends in Phoenix, Arizona was a blast! We had a chance to watch Arizona State and the University of Arizona battle it out at Sun Devil Football Stadium, hike along the beautiful trails that surround the city, have a late-November grill-out, and see the Havocs in action at Grand Canyon University Arena. What a trip!
Along with all that excitement, I had the chance to visit AZ Barber Studio where Chan the Barber worked his craft giving me a great haircut, beard trim, and even a nose peel. Chan the Barber is from Native American heritage and his tribe is from Yuma, Arizona. I got the sense that it was a huge leap of faith for him to follow his passion for barbering to Phoenix. He is all-in with the craft and does an outstanding job of marketing himself both online and in the shop. You will notice his customized jacket. He is very motivated and is also investing in his knowledge on the business side of the industry. The sky is the limit for Chan the barber.
The entire team at AZ Barber Studio is upbeat, energetic, and outstanding at their craft. They are encouraging of each other and a ton of fun to be around.

ARIZONA ADVENTURES!
Hey Fuckers! Gamingleatherneck here! My friend and I decided to go to Arizona to have some fun. I recorded my trip there and this is what we did. We went to Phoenix, Watson lake, Prescott and places right next to ASU. Nothing really special about going to Arizona, but I think the most important part of life is to appreciate the relationships around you and to create memories with people. You never know when they are not going to be there anymore. Whether you are living the college life, a regular dude, or the military, everyone should learn to not take things for granted. Well all mess up, so just learn to forgive and forget, fix yourself and move on. Appreciate what you have not now. This the reason why I made this vlogs and the other videos on my channel.
LIKE/FAV if you enjoyed the video guys, thanks! And SUBSCRIBE!! EERRAHHHHH!!! XD

We pulled over late at night and slept undisturbed just outside of Columbus Park on Silverbell Rd. No camping is allowed within the park. There are a couple of small BLM areas near Tucson check freecampsites.net
This is the home of the Saguaro National Park and one of the most plant diverse areas we have seen on our travels in the Southwest United States. I hope you enjoy the ride.

Piestewa Peak in Phoenix, Arizona
Travel with me to Piestewa Peak (formerly Squaw Peak) in Phoenix, Arizona. The Summit Trail hike is discussed, as well as the mountain’s history and wildlife.
You can view the full hike up Piestewa Peak’s Summit Trail here:
Suggested Reading:
***The Phoenix Area’s Parks and Preserves (2007) by Donna and George Hartz - Provides several intriguing late nineteenth and early twentieth century photographs from Phoenix’s parks and preserves, including the Phoenix Mountains and Squaw Peak. I recommend checking this out if you are interested in the history of Phoenix's mountains or seeing more early photographs of Squaw Peak.
***Squaw Peak: A Hiker’s Guide (1997) by Jack San Felice - A history of the peak and detailed information on the various trails, including the Summit Trail.
***60 Hikes within 60 Miles: Phoenix (2009) by Charles Liu - I highly recommend checking out this book if you’re an avid hiker or intend to hike other trails in the Phoenix area. It includes detailed overviews on several wonderful hikes, including Piestewa Peak’s Summit Trail and Freedom Trail on pages 48-56.
***A Natural History of the Sonoran Desert (2015) edited by Steven J. Philips & Patricia Wentworth Comus - Produced by the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, this book is the authoritative text on the Sonoran Desert. It is absolutely the best read on the environment, plants, and animals of this unique ecosystem and will greatly inform any travel or hike through the areas of central and southern Arizona, southeast California, Baja California, or Sonora. Originally published in 1999, the updated second edition came out in 2015. The original edition is available for a cheaper price here.

The passage:
See above those clouds, near where the blue sky appears to fold? Some say it is the entrance to the floating isles where pirates still rule the air and dragons choose to live. Only the most skilled pilots can sail their craft close enough to even glimpse the light coming from within. You can't find those who know the way; they find you. Rather, you four lazy tourists must learn from your books and be ready, so that you may not miss an opportunity to travel to that mysterious place. It would be an adventure that you would never forget. Now, I think that's enough with this pleasurable story telling. Go home and join your aunt - she's cooking fine food!
How to name your video and what to put into the description:
After you've made your video, name it Worldwide Accent Project - [your accent location] (for example, I would name mine Worldwide Accent Project - Keswick, Cumbria, England, and include the following text in the description.... This is my contribution to the Worldwide Accent Project, which is a collaboration project made by YouTubers from around the world, with the intention of creating a global accent archive. Anybody can participate, even if English is not your first language. Please go to this video youtube.com/watch?v=-8VTuM129HA for more information, and to submit your own!
