Passengers flying with Air India, vistara and Jet Airways which use T3 terminal as base of operations can now check in at the New Delhi Metro Station. Check can be done anytime before 6 hours to 2 and half hours before departure time. Passengers flying for international flights also started checking in as this facility started from 22 February 2012.

Delhi Metro is a metro system serving Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, and Ghaziabad in the National Capital Region of India. Delhi Metro is the world's thirteenth largest metro system in terms of length. Delhi Metro is India's first modern public transportation system. As of April 2014, the network consists of six lines, plus a seventh Airport Express line, with a total length of 190.0 kilometres (118.1 mi), serving 137 stations, (including the 6 Airport Express stations), of which 36 are underground, five are at-grade, and the rest are elevated. All stations have escalators, elevators, and tactile tiles to guide the visually impaired from station entrances to trains. It has a combination of elevated, at-grade, and underground lines, and uses both broad gauge and standard gauge rolling stock. Four types of rolling stock are used: Mitsubishi Rotem broad gauge, Bombardier Movia, Mitsubishi Rotem standard gauge, and CAF Beasain standard gauge.
The Delhi Airport Metro Express (DAME) is a Delhi Metro line from New Delhi Metro Station to Dwarka Sector 21, linking the Indira Gandhi International Airport. The line, also known as the Orange line was opened on 23 February 2011 after missing four previously set deadlines. It was built at a cost of INR57 billion, of which Reliance Infra paid INR28.85 billion (U$580m), Reliance Infra will also pay fees on a Revenue-share model.
The total length of the line is 22.7 km, of which 15.7 km is underground and 7 km, from Buddha Jayanti Park and Mahipalpur, is elevated. The trains travel at up to 135 km/h, instead of up to 80 km/h as on the rest of the metro. Travel time is 18 mins from New Delhi to the Airport T3.

Fastest Metro Train in India - Airport Express Line #Jaysenjx
Today we will go on India’s best & fastest metro line which is New Delhi-Airport Express Line. It connects New Delhi Railway Station (Centre of City) to Dwarka Sector 21, in between it has Delhi airport station as well. To travel in this metro you can either use Delhi Metro card or smart token for single trip. It covers total 6 Stations New Delhi - Shivaji Stadium (Near Connaught Place) – Dhaula Kuan – Aero City – Delhi IGI Airport – Dwarka Sector 21. All the stations have full-height platform screen doors to prevent untoward incidents. So let’s start our journey from Dwarka Sector – 21, you can change here for Blue line which goes to Noida & Vaishali. It takes 30 minutes to cover the distance between Dwarka Sector – 21 to New Delhi. IGI Airport here you can get down to take your International & Domestic flight through T3 & T2 Terminals. Next station is Aerocity and here you can get down to go to 1D terminal for domestic flights. All the stations are fitted with State-of-Art Gadgets like Explosive detector, Large X-Ray Baggage Scanner, Quick Reaction Team and Dog Squad. The responsibility of Security of Airport Line is given to CISF and they are very strict in their security and they don’t allow anyone to enter without getting checked. This line has a total length of 22.7 kms of which 15.7 kms are underground and 7 kms are elevated. In this line the train can run at the maximum speed of 135 kms/hr, but right now its runs at the maximum speed of 80 kms/hr. It takes just 19 minutes from New Delhi to Airport which is the fastest mode to reach to Delhi Airport right now. After that the next station is Dhaula Kuan, here you can change for Pink line which covers the ring road of Delhi. You can take Travelator to cover 1.2 kms of distance between Dhaula Kuan and South Campus. It has an option of Monthly pass as well those who travel everyday through this line, for 30/45 trips its costs Rs. 1300/1600.
It was opened on 23rd February 2011 and was operated by Reliance Infra. Due to some technical issued the service was suspended during 7th July, 2012 to 22 January, 2013. From 1st July, 2013 DMRC took over the operations of Airport Express line from Reliance Infra and since then it’s operating the line without any interruption. In January, 2015 the fare of this line was reduced by 40% and which make it more affordable for daily travelers of this line. It is the fastest and the cheapest to reach to Airport from the heart of the city. Maximum fare of this line is Rs. 60/- from New Delhi to Airport/Dwarka Sector – 21 and if you have Delhi Metro card then you will get 10% further discount on this. Now the ridership on this line has been increased to more than 50,000 persons per day.
First train starts at 4:45 AM and the last train leaves at 11:30 PM with the frequency of 15 minutes. It has free trolley facility and passengers can take the trolley inside IGI airport upto T3 terminal. Also you can take the service of Porter @ Rs. 50/porter.
This is the first South Asian metro line which has the Check-in facility of flight outside the airport. Check-in can be done at New Delhi station with limited numbers of Airline companies. It also has clock room facility at New Delhi station.
7th station is under construction by the name of ECC Centre – Dwarka Sector 25, which will be completed by 2020.

The Orange Line or Delhi Airport Express Line is a Delhi Metro line from New Delhi Metro Station to Dwarka Sector 21, linking Indira Gandhi International Airport.

For the first time in the history of my channel, a Timelapse video.
Timelapse video of a ride on Airport Express metro line from New Delhi railway station to Aerocity (had to cut short the recording as I was sitting on another side, I travelled till Airport).
Unlike other metro routes, these trains have proper 2x2 sitting cars with luggage racks near the doors. And also has higher MPS of 80 km/h.
