Alaska Fly Fishing | Guide's Day Off
It's not all glory for Alaska fishing guides and lodge staff who work the short summer season. Most of the time, they really bust their tails off. Just ask any fishing guide if they get to fish a lot. We got the rare opportunity to spend a few days with guide staff at Royal Coachman Lodge during their pre-season. Let's just say most everyone got a chance to cut away from work and have a day off!
Our Alaskan Adventure Part 1 - Resurrection Bay, Kenai Fjords National Park, Exit Glacier and Seward
Join us for part 1 of Our Alaskan Adventure as we explore the Resurrection Bay, Kenai Fjords National Park, Exit Glacier and Seward Alaska. This three part special documents our travels in the Kenai Peninsula in southern Alaska.
If you like what I am doing you can join me on this journey as one of my Patreon members. To me this would be the ultimate honor and thank you for even considering it.

Alaska's World-Class Fly-Out Lodge
The pure beauty of Southwest Alaska is reason enough to visit, but to avid anglers the world over, the Bristol Bay area is synonymous with world-class sportfishing. Starting in June and running through September, this region is teeming with all five species of Pacific salmon, rainbow trout, arctic char, grayling and northern pike. While you are enjoying the fabulous fishing this area has to offer, you will also be treated to a stay in one of Alaska's luxury-class lodges. The hot tub, sauna, masseuse and stocked wine cellar are just a few of the amenities guests will enjoy. This modern facility is an ideal site for small corporate meetings, business entertaining or a great family vacation. Guests stay in private bedrooms with all of the amenities of home and will enjoy gourmet food reminiscent of a fine restaurant. The staff of professional guides, floatplanes and boats are the very finest and ensure you have access to the best fishing in the region. Located overlooking a beautiful lake, the lodge is a stone's throw from the Wood river and a short jet boat ride from the Agulowak river. However, expect to spend most days flying out to one of the many world-class fisheries nearby such as the Togiak, Nushagak, Kvichak, Battle Creek or Moraine, just to name a few. Add it all up, this lodge provides an Alaskan fishing adventure that's nearly impossible to beat.
Rving Alaska: Oceanfront camping on the Kenai Penisula in Ninilchik
We leave Seward behind and head out the Sterling Highway to visit the other side of the Kenai Peninsula where we find beachside camping on the Cook Inlet at the Deep Creek State Recreation Area in Ninilchik, Alaska. Our first day at camp was spent exploring the beach area on our Polaris Quad and we end up taking you for a ride 5 miles down the beach where we find a waterfall and a tractor trailer pulling boats out of the ocean.

TRUCK CAMPER LIFE: CAMPING on the BEACH in SEWARD Alaska // CtW S1:E33
#SewardAlaska #4x4Camper #F250TruckCamper
If you've been looking for things to do in Seward, Alaska then you have to add camping on the beach next to Resurrection Bay to the list! During summer the entire waterfront turns into RV camping and for $20 per night you cannot beat the view.
As you RV to Seward, be sure to stop at the Russian River near Cooper Landing to watch the salmon swim upstream. There is something majestic about watching the salmon swim upstream against all odds and it's entirely possible you'll spend all day at the Russian River.
** 2019 Update: Our truck camper is currently broken down in Wyoming. We have been told by several mechanics that our engine is shot and may need to be replaced. If you enjoy the story of our wander, we would appreciate your support in repairing our truck.

Road Ready Campground Reviews | SeaView RV Park | Hope Alaska
We were just driving around, and found this little campground right on a river with the Pink Salmon running. So we stayed a night, then came back a couple more nights later in the week. The boys got to catch Salmon running up the river.
The Hope Highway Cutoff is located at Mile 56.7 of the Seward Highway. Take the cutoff to Mile 16.9, turn right on A Street, then left on Main Street. The Seaview Cafe & Bar is two blocks down, at the end of the road.

RVing to Alaska | Road Ready Campground Reviews | Inga Lake Campground | Alaskan Highway
Road Ready Campground Reviews, Inga Lake Campground along the Alaskan Highway. We found this great free campground. Its located a short drive up the Alaskan Highway from Fort St John. Its a primitive campground with pit toilets, fire rings and picnic tables. The max stay is 14 days, and could accommodate larger RV's. This campground is dry, meaning you will be boondocking, there is no water, sewer or electricity here...
