Albula
Rhaetian Railway, Riding on the Landwasserviaduct
* The Landwasser Viaduct (German: Landwasserviadukt) is a single track six-arched curved limestone railway viaduct. It spans the Landwasser River between Schmitten and Filisur, in the Canton of Graubünden, Switzerland.
Designed by Alexander Acatos, it was built between 1901 and 1902 by Müller & Zeerleder for the Rhaetian Railway, which still owns and uses it today. A signature structure of the World Heritage-listed Albula Railway, it is 65 metres (213 ft) high, 136 metres (446 ft) long, and one of its ramps exits straight into the Landwasser Tunnel.
The Landwasser Viaduct has six arch spans 20 metres (66 ft) in width, resting on five high pillars. The railway line near the viaduct has a slope of 2 percent, and in plan a circular arc with a radius of 100 metres (330 ft).
The southeastern abutment of the viaduct is located on a high cliff, and at that point, the tracks lead directly into the 216 metres (709 ft) long Landwasser Tunnel.
The viaduct's masonry is approximately 9,200 cubic metres (320,000 cu ft) in volume and is jointed with dolomitic limestone.

Top scenic train rides: Switzerland's Bernini Express --from palm trees to glaciers
The Bernina Express takes you from palm trees to glaciers--or the reverse--and back again, if you choose--all in a day. It's the highest mountain railway in the Alps.
You'll see the effects of elevation as you sit back and enjoy the scenery, going from lush green valleys to rocky mountaintops that are above the treeline and in the clouds.
The train goes through 55 tunnels--some that spiral through mountains--96 bridges, deep Alpine valleys, viaducts that span gorges, hairpin turns, charming alpine villages, stone farmhouses, castles, cows and cowbells, snow-capped mountains, waterfalls babbling brooks, forests, and glaciers. It's a bucket list experience that should not be missed.
In 2008 the line between Thusis and Tirano was declared a World Heritage Site. For the most complete experience, add the Bernina Express bus between Lugano, Switzerland and Tirano, Italy.

Interlaken & Zurich, Switzerland - Nov 2019
A video for my trip to Interlaken and Zurich, Switzerland during the weekend of November 7th-10th, 2019.
I started recording late in the first day, so I wasn't able to include the first half of that day in this video. We saw some amazing views and went to this place called Funky Chocolate in Interlaken.
The next day was amazing. We got up early to go paragliding. The bus took us high up into the snowy mountains and from there we jumped off and we were treated to some amazing views. Then we rode the funicular to Harder Kulm, where you get a great view of Interlaken, the two lakes, and the alps. Finally, we took a bus to a beautiful nearby town called Lauderbrunnen that was located in a valley between the alps.
The last day was spent exploring Zurich. Our train was super early so we got amazing views of the sunrise over the lakes and the alps. Zurich was a pretty and relaxed city that I really liked. The FIFA museum was a highlight for me as I got to see the actual World Cup trophy, which is housed there in between tournaments.
Switzerland was one of the greatest 3 days of my life, I hope you enjoy the video! :)
