The Wildest Hot Springs of Kyrgyzstan - Altyn-Arashan hot springs
With my two brothers coming to Kyrgyzstan , I decided to do something special. I thought we should have an adventure and explore the country together so I contacted my friend Aleksei who owns a brilliant travel company here in Bishkek and he organized a super fun trip across the country for us. We went to Burana tower and then visited a beautiful canyon south of Issyk Kul called the fairy tale canyon.We also skied in Karakol and visited the hot springs of Altyn Arashan. Kyrgyzstan is a country full of surprises and I feel blessed I could visit it in company of my two brothers and Aleksei.

Trekking in Kyrgyzstan is an amazingly beautiful experience. In the start of my 8-day trek out of Karakol, we pass through the Almalu Valley and summit four passes in three days!
We see nomads on horses, pass by yurts, goats on the trail, and some beautiful snow-covered mountains.
This trek goes through Kyrgyzstan's Tian Shan Mountains and passes by the famous Ala Kul lake. In days 1-4, we make our way there passing several valleys with horses, goats, and sheep.

Trekking to Ala Kul ( Kyrgyzstan ) - Journal of Nomads Adventure Tour part 2
Hiking to Ala Kul is not an easy hike but the views at the end are definitely worth the effort. This beautiful lake is located in the Tian shen mountains and two days of intense trekking in the mountains are required to access it.
During 10 days and together with a group of 15 beautiful people we explored the Kyrgyz mountains on horseback and on foot, camped at an altitude of 3500m near the beautiful lake of Ala Kul and stayed in the yurts of nomads where we tasted local dishes and learned more about the Kyrgyz nomadic culture. It was an intense and fantastic experience! Not only because we were in such a wonderful setting, but especially because we were in the company of a super fun international group! We couldn't be happier to have this awesome group of people joining our very first group tour! We are so so grateful!
It was quite an experience for us to organize such a group trip. We usually travel by ourselves and if something unexpected happens – which is usually the case when you go on an adventurous trip – we're only responsible for ourselves. This time we were also responsible for the well-being of 15 other people. But... everything went smoothly and everyone returned home with a big smile and new friends.

Yurt stay in Kyrgyzstan | Glamping on beautiful trekking tour from Karakol to Altyn Arashan
The MOST beautiful place in Kyrgyzstan to stay in a yurt! This was genuinely one of the highlights of our time in Kyrgyzstan. So what on earth is it like to stay in a yurt with a baby?!
We stayed in MANY different places on our backpacking trip in Central Asia! A capsule, strangers homes, hostels, a hotel AND of course yurts! The yurt might sound like the bravest thing to do with a baby, but actually this was the most baby friendly accomodation that we found on our trip! Everything is soft and there are no ornaments that baby boy could pull off and break! Parenting bliss! We joked about just locking the door and taking a nap.
Karakol is a town located on the south east of Issykul lake and is a great base for mountain trekking adventures in Kyrgystan. If you want to see Alakul mountain lake you will probably start in Karakol town. One route takes you up Altyn Arashan valley. The great thing about this trek is that you can stay in gorgeous comfortable yurts in Altyn Arashan village, enjoy delicious Kyrgyz food and take a dip in the steamy hotsprings
Altyn Arashan village is located around half way up the valley and provides a great base to split the trek into two days. You can find accommodation in Altyn Arashan very cheaply (starting at around 500 Som or £5 for basic accommodation including breakfast). Price may also depend on season. If you are on a budget shop around as there are several yurt camps. Some yurts are more expensive - and will be cheaper if you are willing to share.

Поездка на внедорожниках на горячие источники в Алтын-Арашан. Это одно из самых красивых и труднодоступных мест Кыргызстана, которые обязательно нужно посетить. Добраться сюда можно только на внедорожниках, либо пешком или на лошадях. Это удивительное место расположено вблизи города Каракол. Алтын-Арашан является заповедной территорией.

Маршрут поездки проходил по южному берегу Иссык-Куля, с остановками на берегу озера вблизи г. Каджы-Сай. Ночевка в городе Каракол. На следующий день рано утром выдвинулись в направлении Ак-Суйского ущелья. Поворот на ущелье Алтын-Арашан находится в Теплоключенке. Основная масса туристов - иностранцы, они совершают трекинговый подьем пешком, либо на лошадях.
Расстояние от населенного пункта Теплоключенка до Алтын-Арашана всего 14 км, однако из-за суровых дорожных условий это расстояние не спеша на внедорожниках преодолевается за 4 часа. Мы ездили на 4 рамных джипах, 2 подготовленных Паджеро Mitsubishi Pajero , штатный Ленд-Крузер 80 и Land Cruiser Прадо. Из существенных потерь - у Прадо поломало камнями пластиковые брызговики. Очень внимательно нужно преодолевать каменистые участки. Для штатных джипов велика вероятность помять или потерять пороги.
По Ленд Крузеру 80 по возвращению был произведен следующий ремонт:
- замена передней крестовины
- замена солдатиков
- замена резинок стабилизаторов
- замена демпфера
Итого ~20,000 KGS

A trip on off-road cars to hot springs in Altyn-Arashan. This is one of the most beautiful and hard-to-reach places in Kyrgyzstan, which must be visited by tourists. To get here it is possible only on off-road cars, or on foot or on horses. This amazing place is located near the city of Karakol. Altyn-Arashan is a protected area.
You will meet a lot of foreigners on the road to this place.
The route of the trip passed along the southern shore of Issyk-Kul, with stops on the shore of the lake near the town of Kaji-Sai. Overnight in the city of Karakol. The next day, early in the morning, they moved in the direction of the Ak-Sui gorge. The turn to the Altyn-Arashan gorge is in Teploklyuchenka. The bulk of tourists - foreigners, they make trekking rises on foot, or on horseback.
The distance from the village of Teploklyuchenka to Altyn-Arashan is only 14 km, however, due to severe road conditions, this distance is easily overcome by off-road vehicles in 4 hours. We drove to 4 frame jeeps, 2 prepared Pajero, staffed Land Cruiser 80, Prado. Of the significant losses - the Prado smashed plastic mud flaps with stones. Very carefully you need to overcome stony areas. There is a great chance to crumple or lose thresholds.

Dungan cold noodles & mountains everywhere - Karakol & Jeti Oguz- KYRGYZSTAN FOOD & TRAVEL VLOG

Horse Riding Trip in Kyrgyzstan - Altyn Arashan & Naryn
This is a some footages from the last part of my previous horse riding trip in Kyrgyzstan where I lead a small group of adventurers on a 12 days trip in central and northeast of Kyrgyzstan.
