Adeyto ???????? AMALFI ???? CITY on AMALFI COAST ITALY
Amalfi is the transport transfer hub on the Coast so we pass through here on the way to Ravello and then on the way to Positano and finally I stay here two days with my best friend Mary. And it's all about LEMONS and Lemoncello the local alcohol produced with lemons and then pizza and eateries everywhere on the streets and open spaces full of tables and seats and hundreds people eating on those terraces.
It gets pretty once you walk in the inner part of the town however the port area and even more so the crazy bus station are soooooooooo full with people desperate to get in time to their destinations and with busses coming late and stuck in traffic and no info in English and no tickets vending machines (can you imagine you must buy the bus tickets in a tobacco shop) so compared with how organized everything is in Japan, this Amalfi is the proverbial top of the Italian mess...
But it's still very very scenic and good to be there, done that. Just take the boats as much as possible and AVOID DRIVING AND BUSSES.
Amalfi town in a dramatic natural setting below steep cliffs on Italy’s southwest coast. Between the 9th and 11th centuries, it was the seat of a powerful maritime republic. The Arab-Norman Sant'Andrea cathedral at the heart of town, with its striped Byzantine facade, survives from this era. The Museo Arsenale Amalfi is a medieval shipyard-turned-exhibition space.
Amalfi’s Chiostro del Paradiso has 13th-century Moorish cloisters around a tropical garden. The Valle dei Mulini ravine above town is home to the Museo della Carta (Museum of Paper), in a 13th-century mill with original working paper presses. Hiking trails in the valley overlook lemon groves and pastel buildings on hillside terraces. Many use the town as a base for exploring the beaches, forests and mountains of the surrounding Amalfi Coast, picturesque Positano and the hillside gardens and villas of Ravello. Boat tours leave from the marina, where there’s also a lively beach.

Italy: Amalfi Coast Drive from Sorrento to Positano
The Amalfi Drive (formally Strada Statale 163) is the conventional name of a stretch of road which runs along the stretch of the Amalfi Coast between the southern Italian towns of Sorrento and Amalfi. The road was originally built by the Romans. The drive between Salerno, at the southern base of the peninsula, and Positano follows the coast for about 80 km (50 mi).
For the greater part of its route, the road is carved out of the side of the coastal cliffs, giving spectacular views down to the Tyrrhenian Sea and on the other side up to the towering cliffs above. The road passes through the village of Positano, which is built on the side of the hill. Both the village and the whole drive are leading tourist attractions in the area.
The Amalfi coast is an UNESCO-listed landscape lined with small towns precariously perched between mountains & the sea.

Adeyto ???????? AMALFI ???? CITY @ AMALFI COAST ITALY
With the beautiful evening lights reflected in the sea, from pier the city and coast look like postcards. And since Amalfi is in between the other charming towns and the buses transfer here for different directions, many stay here at hotels or Airbnb and explore the other towns by boat from here on day trips. For Capri island, the day trips are better from Positano town. There are many museums and Roman Ruins, trekking routes that would take you to stunning views at the end of zillion staircases on top of the fjords. There are hotels even there, some with infinity pools even! A very rich area and quite expensive. Lots of Italian Gelato icecream everywhere and all ???? Lemon products you would imagine from alcohol to soap and fashion items, of course olive oil and cool colorful pasta souvenirs, and the enchanting Majolica decorations and ceramics that would make stunning home decoration however are quite heavy to carry back home. And yes they can ship it for you, at huge prices. In the evening all plazas are full with restaurants outdoors though we missed the chance to eat at the best pizza in town because of visiting the neighboring towns with my Italian girlfriend.

A Family Guide to the Amalfi Coast - Tips & Advice - Traveling with Kids can be fun!
We are wrapping up our month-long Europen vacation and finish on the Amalfi Coast. After disembarking from the Jewell of the Seas we took a private transfer to Pompeii for a private tour with Lala Nastrucci. We can express how much all of us enjoyed this tour and Lala was amazing with the kids. She definitely is highly recommended if you are visiting this region and need a guide. Here is her information
After a wonderful day in Pompeii we continued to Sorrento which became our home base for the next few days. Sorrento is one of our favorite places in the world and we love it there. Great food, shopping, and easy to get to other locations along the Amalfi Coast.
From Sorrento we day tripped to Positano & Capri on separate days. Both locations are great, but if you only have one-day available we highly recommend Positano!
It was a sad day when we left Sorrento and we are already planning a return.
We hope that you enjoy our channel and learn a little something from our adventures. We will soon be producing detailed videos on each location with more detailed information. Make sure you subscribe and ring the bell to see all of our upcoming videos!

Path of the Gods, Amalfi Coast - Italy
The Path of the Gods, or Sentiero degli Dei, is a trek that connects Bomerano to Nocelle near Positano on the Amalfi Coast. It is a fairly easy path that can be completed as a one way trail if you wish. Many portions of the trail are inches from a 1000 ft drop to the ocean, or rocks below. The contrast of towering spires, amazing sky, and the sapphire blue waters of the Mediterranean make this hike one of my my most memorable.

Episode 7: We LOVED our time on the Amalfi Coast and it was so kid friendly and conducive to relaxing and just beautiful! We stayed in the little town of Minori, right in-between Salerno and Positano. And we highly recommend Minori to any one wanting to visit the Amalfi Coast, but wanting something a little less commercialized and touristy that some of the bigger town around there. It was an amazing several days and tons of fun! Mason did awesome swimming in the ocean and Ethan loved playing with the rocks at the beach. Win/win for Mom and Dad. We will definitely be back!
