Anjarle is a village in the Dapoli taluka of Ratnagiri district in the Maharashtra state of India.
Anjarle Beach is one of the finest beaches in the Konkon region. Beach covered with white sand and surrounded by palms is just the ideal destination for a long and refreshing weekend. A temple dedicated to Lord Ganesha, Kadyavarcha Ganpati is a very famous temple at Anjarle. The temple is situated on the cliff near the sea, hence called Kadyavarcha Ganpati.

2. EXPERIENCE ANJARLE TURTLE FESTIVAL:
A unique festival held every year from March – April, the aim of the festival is to conserve the endangered spices of turtle called ‘Olive Ridley’ turtles.

3. VISIT SUVARNADURG FORT + DOLPHIN SIGHTING
One of the best sea forts in Maharashtra, Suvarnadurg Fort is a must visit. The fort was captured by Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in 1660 by defeating Ali Adil Shah II. The only way to reach there is by a boat ride and you can spot dolphons on the way.

So when Road Trippers Club Mumbai group decided to go to Anjarle Beach to witness #Turtle #Hatching, one thing I had decided was to try and take as much #timelapse of the #sea as possible. Unfortunately, I had forgot my bigger #tripod at home, and had to make a do with my #MiniTripod and a #Selfie Stick dug into the sand.
Interestingly, both the devices came very close to be swallowed by the sea. Watching Turtles was an amazing experience, however the timelapse stole the show for me.

Anjarle is a village in the Dapoli taluka of Ratnagiri district in the Maharashtra state of India. It is a small port located near the mouth of Jog river, about 4 miles south of Aade and 2 miles north of Suvarnadurga. The nearest railway station is Khed, 110 miles to the south-east,Anjarle is located about 24 km from Dapoli. It has an average elevation of 10 metres (36 feet). As part of the Western Ghats, the forests are evergreen, consisting mainly of tropical forest. Alphonso mangoes and coconuts are grown commercially in this area.
Kadyawarcha Ganpati, Anjarle, Dapoli
This Ganesh temple is at Anjarle village in Dapoli taluka, Ratnagiri district, Maharashtra. Anjarle is famous for the Kadyawarcha Ganpati (Ganesh temple situated on a cliff). This ancient and magnificent Ganesh temple was originally constructed using wooden pillars in around 1150AD. It was renovated during the period between 1768 and 1780. At one time, people used to cross Anjarle creek (Jog River) in a boat and then climb the hill using steps that go through the Anjarle village. Recently a bridge has been constructed and you can take your vehicle right up to the entrance of the temple.
The Ganesh idol is right-sided. This means that its trunk curves towards the right, (Ujwya Sondecha Ganpati) which is very rare. Kadyawarcha Ganpati is the live deity (a jagrut daiwat) who responds to distress calls of common people (called as 'Nawsala pavnara Ganpati' in Marathi).
