TEE SHOTS - North Berwick West Links
All the Tee Shots from a recent round at North Berwick West Links. The round took place on May 26th, 2017.
West Links is a Scottish links course found on the east coast of Scotland. The course is Popular with tourists as it is only 40 minutes from Edinburgh, Scotland's capital city. The course is used as a final Open Qualifying course when the Open is held at Muirfield. North Berwick is the third oldest course in the world that is still playing its original fairways. The only 2 older courses using original fairways are Musselburgh and the Old Course.

Places to see in ( Gullane - UK )
Places to see in ( Gullane - UK )
Gullane is a town on the southern shore of the Firth of Forth in East Lothian on the east coast of Scotland. There has been a church in the village since the ninth century. The ruins of the Old Church of St. Andrew built in the twelfth century can still be seen at the western entrance to the village; the church was abandoned after a series of sandstorms made it unusable, and Dirleton Parish Church took its place.
Gullane Bents, the village's award-winning beach, is backed by large sand dunes that in recent years have become rather overgrown by invasive shrubs like sea-buckthorn. Gullane is part of the John Muir Way, a long-distance footpath along the coast between Musselburgh and Dunglass.
The local population consists of many elderly people. Urbanisation has led to some recent housing developments, and Gullane is gaining popularity as a commuter village for nearby Edinburgh (some twenty miles away). Amenities include the village hall and a variety of shops including a chip shop, German bakery and sweet shop. There is a primary school, and local children attend secondary school five miles away in North Berwick. The Scottish Fire Service College was located on Gullane's Main Street.
Greywalls Hotel was built in 1901 to a design by Sir Edwin Lutyens; the gardens were designed by Gertrude Jekyll. The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service formerly had their training school based at Gullane.
Gullane is the home of Muirfield which has hosted The Open Championship on numerous occasions, most recently in 2013. In addition to Muirfield, Gullane is the site of several other high-quality golf courses in the village and surrounding area. At the Gullane Golf Club, to which many local residents are members of, three interesting eighteen-hole links courses straddle a large grassed-over volcanic plug.
( Gullane - UK ) is well know as a tourist destination because of the variety of places you can enjoy while you are visiting Gullane . Through a series of videos we will try to show you recommended places to visit in Gullane - UK

May 2011 : Golfers - Sign up to take part in Monty's Monthly Medal
The Scottish Golf Union (SGU) and the Scottish Ladies Golf Union (SLGU) have joined forces with champion Scottish golfer, Colin Montgomerie to launch 'Monty's Monthly Medal'.
The exciting new charity initiative was unveiled today at the Archerfield Links course to the east of Edinburgh.
The SGU and SLGU will adopt the Elizabeth Montgomerie Foundation as their official charity partner.
Golfer's along the length and breadth of Scotland have only to pay £3 to enter with the leading 80 players to compete in the final at The Carrick Golf Club on 19th September 2011.
Funds raised from 'Monty's Monthly Medal' will help towards raising £1m to build a 'Maggie's Centre' in both Aberdeen and Lanackshire.
Speaking at the launch of the partnership, Monty said: My only wish was that we had a Maggie's Centre around 21-years ago when my mother was still alive.
But I am delighted to welcome the SGU and SLGA on board as partners of the Elizabeth Montgomerie Foundation and hope that members of Scottish golf clubs will get involved these two fantastic initiatives.
We've already had fantastic support from golfers since I launched the charity back in 2008 and they have helped us towards our fundraising goals.
The Elizabeth Montgomerie Foundation is working with Maggie's to help many people in Scotland with cancer and I am very proud of this. I am keen to give something back to clubs and their members through this partnership, whether that is playing with them or visiting the club for a day and inspiring their next generation of golfers.
'Monty's Monthly Medal' will be sponsored by Aberdeen Asset Management, and qualifying for the event will take place on the weekend of the Open Championship (14 - 17 July 2011).
Every club in Scotland will be invited to run a Stableford competition alongside their monthly medal or equivalent event that weekend.
Aside for the top-80 winning through to the final at The Carrick, the eventual top-two will then be receive an invitation to compete alongside the best women players in Europe in the Aberdeen Ladies Scottish Ladies Pro-Am being held from 18th to 20th August, 2011 at Archerfield.
While another 10 lucky winners will be receive full VIP passes for the week of the prestigious ladies event.
