Led by Tobu Railway and a group of six terrestrial broadcasters headed by NHK, the tower project forms the centrepiece of a large commercial development equidistant from Tokyo Skytree and Oshiage train stations, 7 km (4.3 mi) north-east of Tokyo station. One of its main purposes is to relay television and radio broadcast signals; Tokyo's current facility, Tokyo Tower with a height of 333 m (1,093 ft), no longer gives complete digital terrestrial television broadcasting coverage because it is surrounded by many high-rise buildings. The project was completed on 29 February 2012, with the tower opening to the public on 22 May 2012.

GETTING OUR FORTUNES IN ASAKUSA (Senso-ji Temple + Asahi Headquarters!)
Good fortune or bad fortune, which will it be? Come with us to Asakusa to find out!
Today we are testing our luck and exploring Asakusa which is home to Senso-ji, Tokyo's oldest Buddhist temple, where one of us gets a good fortune and one of us does not. Can you guess who? The temple is beautiful and also a tourist trap but it is worth the trip and the crowds.
In the afternoon we head over to SkyTree where Logan lives out his widest childhood dreams in the Pokemon Center and Jenny does her best to keep up. We also try some delicious cold iced matcha green teas at Nana's Green Tea as a cheeky afternoon snack.
We end the afternoon with ice cold beers and panoramic views at the Asahi Headquarters Asahi Beer Hall. There's nothing quite like amazing views and cold brews!
But this is only Part 1. Subscribe to get notified when Friday's vlog goes live where we do a taste test of various convenience store foods. :)

Asahi Cocktail Partner Gin & Tonic Beverage Review - Sumida Garden, Tokyo, Japan - 4K UHD
Welcome back to the Tour again everyone! This time back yet again on the international editions, again from a park right along the Sumida River in Tokyo - this is an Asahi beverage, one of their Cocktail Partner lines, and this particular cocktail is a gin & tonic! We did NOT know what this was exactly during the video, only later looked it up and found out - recalling this, it does not taste exactly like the aforementioned beverage, however, for this price certainly not a bad take on it either - easy and convenient! So, enjoy this video, and join us again - cheers!

Japan Summer 2010 (31) - Sumida and Tokyo Sky Tree
On the final full day of my stay in Japan, my grandmother, Ogata-san, and take the train to Sumida to take a look at the Tokyo Sky Tree. As it was still under construction, we were only able to view it from the outside. The other main sight in Sumida is the Asahi Beer Hall, and we were able to find good views of the Asahi Buildings together with the Sky Tree.
