The Foundation Ball presented by the Rotaract Club of Birmingham
Join the Rotaract Club of Birmingham and area young professionals for our annual gala, The Foundation Ball. The black-tie event will take place Saturday, March 14 from 8 p.m. - Midnight at Iron City.
Proceeds support the Rotaract Club of Birmingham Foundation. Buy your tickets online for $50 per person. Tickets will also be for sale at the door.
Entry into the event includes live music and dancing, light hor d’oeuvres, wine and beer. Cash liquor bars will also be available. We have other surprises in store to make this an event you do not want to miss!
Why The Foundation Ball?
The Rotaract Club of Birmingham is passionate about the ways we serve Birmingham through the Foundation. Every ticket sold to this event helps our Club make an impact in a variety of ways through service in our city:
Ready 2 Read Through Ready 2 Read, a signature service project sine 2009, we partner with Better Basics to provide a library and reading buddy in every second grade classroom in Birmingham city schools.
Ready 2 Succeed We launched our second signature service project in 2014 in celebration of our decennial year. Ready 2 Succeed is a mentor program, partnering mentors from Rotaract with Parker HIgh School juniors and seniors to help students prepare for college and obtain financial aid to attend.

Alabama's craft brewers team up with Birmingham's independent restaurants on March 14 to showcase the unique and diverse culinary culture of the city. Guests enjoy unlimited samples from Birmingham's best local restaurants with craft beers that have been expertly-paired with each dish. Learn about the joy of pairing food and beer from local chefs and brewers.
Eat Drink Birmingham is a beer and food pairing experience. Guests enjoy unlimited samples of signature dishes from Birmingham restaurants that have been expertly-paired with a variety of excellent craft beers.
Eat Drink Birmingham is a 21 and up event.
31st Annual St. Patrick's Celebration in 5 Points South
REV Birmingham (REV) and the Five Points South Merchants Group are proud to present The Five Points South St. Patrick’s Celebration, a two-day St. Patrick’s Day festival featuring a parade, live music, Irish food and drink specials at Five Points-area restaurants and bars on March 14th and 17th!!!
Part-one of the celebration includes the 31st Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade which will take place on Saturday, March 14 from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. The procession will make its way through Five Points South and end at Cobb Lane. Live music from Hooley & Marc Gunn, Irish dancers, and bagpipers will entertain guests at select restaurants, venues and bars from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Attendees can also dine, drink and listen to live music in festive, St. Patrick’s Day-themed atmospheres of participating Five Points businesses well into the evening following the parade.
Part-two of the celebration takes place on St. Patrick’s Day Tuesday, March 17th in Five Points South. Community members are encouraged to come back around noon or after work on St. Patrick's Day to grab lunch, dinner or drinks from participating Five Points South merchants; businesses will offer Irish food and drink specials from Tullamore Dew Irish Whiskey, Good People Brewing Company, Avondale Brewing Company and Straight to Ale all day from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Select participating merchants will also offer live music during the evening.
