TURKISH STREET FOOD : You've NEVER Seen this Before!!! KEBAB HEAVEN + Street Food in Izmir Turkey
Kemeraltı Bazaar Street Food tour in IZMIR, TURKEY
Welcome to the first episode of our Turkey street food series. historical KEMERALTI BAZAAR (Tarihi Kemeraltı Çarşısı)!
We start our street food tour at a famous “börekçisi” for some savoury börek pastries. We ordered our börek with pastirma and cheese. It was very delicious and fun to watch the chef prepare the dish! (17 TRY / 2.92 USD)
Continuing through the ancient 7th century market, we find an extremely unique shop serving up an Izmir speciality Turšu Suyu, which is pickle juice! Made up of simple ingredients to be sour, spicy and extremely refreshing. Pickle juice is best enjoyed in Izmir in the summer heat! (3 TRY / 0.52 USD)
For lunch, we try manisa kebap, hailing from the city of Manisa which is right outside of Izmir. The dish consists of kebab chunks, served on top of flatbread with a side of tomato sauce and yogurt. It is also covered in rich butter. So mouthwatering and very CHEAP! (32 TRY / 5.50 USD with unlimited tea)
Just outside of the market is the Izmir Clock Tower. It is considered the symbol of Izmir and shouldn’t be missed while you’re in the city. It is a great place to take in the views of the sea.
We were craving something sweet and went back into the market for shambli, a semolina cake soaked in syrup, mixed with walnuts, filled with cream, and some are covered in crushed pistachio. This will give you a sugar HIGH! (regular 5 TRY / 0.86 USD + pistachio 6 TRY / 1.03 USD)
To wash it all down, Turkish coffee is like no other coffee in the world and many shops have their own unique way of making it. Turkish coffee is always unfiltered so expect it to be strong and full of silt. (7 TRY / 1.20 USD)
We made a quick stop for “macun” which is an Ottoman candy. It is made in the most traditional way and these vendors do not have 1 location. (4 TRY / 0.69 USD)
For our final stop of the day, we had to eat some seafood because Izmir is quite famous for it’s fresh fish! We chose a midye dolma (translation: STUFFED MUSSELS) restaurant. These mussels are stuffed with spiced rice and locals squeeze lemon directly onto each and every mussel. These were the FRESHEST mussels we’ve tried in all of Turkey! (14 TRY / 2.41 USD for half kilo)

Olympos, Turkey | Travel Vlog 2016 | Road Trip
Beginning of our road trip from Mersin to Izmir and back to Mersin.
Firstly we stopped at Antalya for a quick sleep then off to Olympus to start enjoying ourselves on this road trip.
We stayed in whats called a pensiyon ( In english means a room to sleep with the basics like a shower, toilet and bed also most pensiyons include breakfast the next morning, they are cheap but good if your ok with the basics and not luxury living)
Olympos was a great town to see and really a hidden little treasure, I couldn't find much about it on the internet but it really has so much to offer :)

Welcome to the final episode of our TURKISH STREET FOOD series. What a way to end it. The WORLD’S BIGGEST DÖNER KEBAB! Starting with MENEMEN for breakfast, a visit at the Dolmabahçe Sarayi palace to learn about the Ottoman Empire, eating the most massive döner kebab, a delicious snack of gozleme (Turkish flatbread), a Turkish favourite - rice stuffed mussels, Turkish coffee at an infamous coffeeshop, and an interesting dinner of kokoreç (highly requested).
We were absolutely thrilled with the various street foods and local cuisine we found in Istanbul, and we were very impressed with the warm hospitality of Turkish locals. It inspired us to return and explore more cities, more food and meet more people. We are already in the works of planning our return. Thank you Turkey so much, we can’t wait to see you again!

KING of İSKENDER KEBAB - 150 Year Old TURKISH Street Food in Bursa!! BEST Street Food in Turkey 2019
Ottoman Street Food in Bursa, Turkey! (BUTTER ALERT!!!)
Izmir Street Food :
Welcome to the SECOND episode of our TURKISH STREET FOOD series! This time we’re in BURSA - home of the Iskender Kebap, mountains and tons of delicious street food!
We are starting our food tour with a Turkish breakfast special - simit and tahini pide. Simit is a circular, dense bread covered in sesame seeds. Almost like a Turkish bagel. Tahini pide is a doughy pastry smothered in thick tahini sauce (made of sesame paste). We washed it down with çay (Turkish tea) and ate a cheesy pastry which was a free sample! (Simit: 1.50 TRY/0.17 USD) (Pide 3 TRY/ 0.51 USD)
Next, we wondered around the MASSIVE market area known as Balıkçılar Pazarı. This fish/fresh market has everything you could ever want! We sampled olives, honey mulberry, cherries and watched artichoke cutting!
Inside the Balıkçılar Pazarı, we visit a local shop serving up fresh cantik. It is made with beef, tomatoes, onions and baked similar to pide. We also tried the Turkish drink called Ayran, which is a salty yogurt. It is a drink you have to try in Turkey. (8 TRY/ 1.36 USD each)
Next stop: The ancient Koza Han, which is a historical silk market from 1491 that used to sell silkworm cocoons and textiles. Nearby is the Grand Mosque of Bursa. It boasts 20 domes and 2 minarets and is a beautiful sight in the centre of Bursa.
A visit to Bursa is not complete until you have tried ISKENDER KEBAP, which is Bursa’s claim to fame! We visit the restaurant where Iskender Kebab was BORN! Juicy, tender meat covered in sheep’s butter served with tomato and yogurt on top of flat bread. Every bite is HEAVEN!!! (39 TRY/6.64 USD for 1 portion)
We watched the gorgeous sunset at an iconic Bursa sight - Tophane Clock Tower, and finished our street food tour in the park for çay! We hope you enjoyed, thank you so much for watching! More videos from Turkey coming very soon. Next up - Istanbul, so make sure to subscribe so you don’t miss the next street food tour!

Fethiye, Muğla | Walking Tour
Fethiye is a small city on the Aegean Sea, which is like a bridge between Turkey and Greece. If you go there, visit Kayakoy, which is about an hour away from Fethiye by minibus. I liked the fact that Fethiye was surrounded by hills.
I LOVE ISTANBUL SO MUCH ❤️ YOU SHOULD DO TOO!

so in this day 3, we went to :
1. Temple of Artemis
The Temple of Artemis or Artemision, also known less precisely as the Temple of Diana, was a Greek temple dedicated to an ancient, local form of the goddess Artemis. It was located in Ephesus. It was completely rebuilt three times, and in its final form was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World
2. İsa Bey Mosque
The İsabey Mosque, constructed in 1374–75, is one of the oldest and most impressive works of architectural art remaining from the Anatolian beyliks. The mosque is situated on the outskirts of the Ayasluğ Hills at Selçuk, İzmir
3. Church of Mary
The Church of Mary is an ancient Christian cathedral dedicated to the Theotokos, located in Ephesus. It is also known as the Church of the Councils because two councils of importance to the history of Early Christianity are assumed to have been held within
4. St. Jean Church
5. Basilica Of Saint John
all of then is the same area, near by our hotel too it's just 10 minutes by foot.
to visit all it's cost 10 TL only.

Always remember that the best part of travel is immersing yourself in the local culture, and no where better can you immerse yourself than into the Street Food!
