OMAN PRIDE: Bait Al Safah Museum
Bait Al Safah Museum
Called Oman’s ‘living museum’, Bait Safah is nestled within the 400-year-old village of Al Hamra.
Within its walls are everyday items from traditional Omani life.
Each room has its own exhibit, such as artworks and photographs.
There is a sitting room where one can have khawa, halwa and dates.
One unique feature of this museum is the kitchen where Omani women bake bread, extract oil and roast coffee beans.

Ombudsmen still love and love the traces of their ancestors who lived in a land like barren land. Here, there is a place like a museum where people migrated to the city as an empty village. It is said that the patriotism is expressed by hanging a photograph of the king in general household scenery. The elderly people in the neighborhood gather in a house decorated as if a person lives, and personally reproduces the old life of Oman. It is a kind of living museum. This is called 'Shifa'. I make five date palm leaves. As usual, arrogant young people gradually leave the city and the elders keep the old. But there is something that never changes in such arrogance. The first thing anyone can do is visit. It is just daisies and dried dates. Then the owner treats his own omani coffee with a small cup called pinjang. If you are an Oman traveler, you will probably taste the Dayz with this coffee everywhere you stop. We come to Oman every ten years. Twenty years ago, ten years ago. This is the third time. The way the Oman people live, the atmosphere and the feeling of Omani are always calm and kind. I am really sincere and continue to come. The Oman culture, which plays an Arabic coffee together with a poem or an oral tradition, is listed as a UNESCO intangible cultural heritage. The warm expression of the Oman people who have treated me as a guest who is a god is still vivid.

400-year-old Al Hamra
Al Hamra is a well-preserved old town in Ad Dakhiliyah, Oman.
Walking through its warren of alleys and stone steps is like going back in time.
A time when houses of mud were the mainstays of domestic culture in the Sultanate.
Though some of the walls are crumbling, the place exudes authentic old-world charm.
One of the tourist draws here is Bait Al Safah, a museum filled with objects from traditional Omani life.

S01E03 - Visiting Misfat Al Abriyeen & Our first workday at boat
Today we've been invited by Mr. Naif Al Abri, the owner of the Misfat Old House, which is located in a beautiful village named Misfat Al Abriyeen (مسفاة العبريين). It is a unique mountainous village located 1,000 m above sea level on the mountain foothills surrounding wilayat Al Hamra in Al Dhakhiyla Governorate. The village derives its name from the Al Abri tribe, who originally come from Misfat Al Abriyeen and Al Hamra.
And, in the second part, you'll see how we are preparing our boat for the Journey. It was our first workday at the boat. We enjoyed a lot to work together for our dream and we believe that everyone can chase their dream, if there is lot of love and dedication!
Enjoy!
Special thanks to Mr. Naif Al Abri
