Explore La Ruta Del Vino in Valle de Guadalupe Wine Country
After researching the growing Baja culinary and wine boom I thought a last minute trip south of the border was in order. Could there be interesting stories awaiting for possible future episodes for Taste of Rosé ( along the Ruta Del Vino? Baja cuisine easily lends itself to pair well with a variety of rosé wines. This trip was a fun scouting expedition with only my Samsung Galaxy S4 in hand. I captured a few shots and clips to give you a glimpse of Valle de Guadalupe. Looking forward to returning to Valle de Guadalupe to film episodes of Taste of Rosé. Check out the links below for more information about the sights and places included in this short video.

Pinoy mom thinks it's easy to illegally cross Tijuana's US border wall | Marc Climaco #LifeofMarc
I showed my Filipina mom the US - Mexico border wall in Tijuana. She thought it's easy to cross. It's really not.
On this awesome family vacation trip, I took my mom and the entire family to Valley de Guadalupe, two hours south of San Diego. But we had to stop by Tijuana's Telefonica Gastro Park for a nice lunch before heading to our destination. Along the route to Ruta del vino, I showed my mom the famous US border wall.

Bajamar Real Estate - Villa De Inspiracion - Baja Real Estate Group
- VILLA DE INSPIRACION -
As you savor the crisp morning ocean air from the comfort of your living room after playing tennis or 18 exquisite holes of golf, or even just a brisk hike to the tide pools, you notice a group of magical whales swimming along the horizon.
This is the paradise that is Villa de Inspiración, a hidden oasis of comfort, rest, and recreation located within the private community of Bajamar just one hour south of San Diego and a few short minutes north of Ensenada.
- LOCATION -
Villa de Inspiración is conveniently located one hour South of San Diego and 15 minutes North of the city of Ensenada in Baja California in the private gated community of Bajamar. The Community can easily be reached by car, which is a safe drive along a pristine toll road from the United States/Mexico border.
With some of the most impressive dining establishments in the world and a plethora of cultural and tourist diversions, Ensenada truly is a unique and wonderful city.
- BEDROOMS -
The five bedrooms of Villa de Inspiración are unique and charming in their own way, seamlessly blending traditional comfort with modern convenience.
The Master Bedroom is something to behold with a massive panoramic view of the ocean, the golf course, and the neighboring hillside.
A private entrance to the Master Bedroom quite literally gives the room the feeling of being a home within a home, and is ideal for added privacy when entertaining guests.
The architectural style of the Master Bathroom is simply stunning. An enormous open-air sunken shower under a dramatic cupola with an extravagant chandelier and a 1920's-inspired traditional bathtub make relaxation the focal point.
Downstairs, each of the three bedrooms has its own fireplace and authentic hand carved furniture. The designer's touch is seen in the rich texture and brilliant hues of perfectly coordinated bedding. Each suite has a private balcony overlooking the golf course and ocean and is turned into a virtual apartment, complete with full bathrooms with showers, and hand crafted cabinetry with storage for toiletries and personal belongings. Elegant tile and beautifully designed hardware complete the rich decor of each bathroom.
Breathtaking antique chandeliers from Mexico and Spain provide subtle lighting and create magnificent ambiance throughout the house.
- LIVING & DINING ROOM -
The awe-inspiring living room of Villa de Inspiración is incredibly warm, with a focus on bringing the outside in. From every seat, you can gaze upon the ocean or watch the clouds through the skylight above. Opening the sliding doors can bring in a refreshing ocean breeze.
An authentic rustic wood roundtable, seating eight, is the focal point of a room providing a dining experience that is ideal for entertaining numerous guests or simply enjoying a romantic dinner for two.
- KITCHEN -
For many, a Kitchen can be the central gathering spot of a home, and here, Villa de Inspiración does not disappoint. This is a huge space, making the experience of cooking easy and fun. Every amenity has been built into the original design of the home. Here, you will not find a tacky microwave resting on a counter-top. Rather, every modern convenience has its place created in the design. Even the doors to the massive refrigerator & freezer conform to the dark wood theme of the room.
The Kitchen is the place ideal for both cooking and entertaining. There is easy access to the adjacent patio where a large built-in Viking barbecue awaits some tasty grilling. A walk-in pantry, plenty of cabinet space, and wine racks finish a kitchen that has been designed to perfection.
- EXTERIOR VIEWS -
A large patio adjacent to the living room is ideal for laying out on a hot summer day or dining on a warm spring evening.
The front entrance of the Villa opens up to the courtyard before entering the main house, providing extra privacy. Landscaping is to perfection, and the front of the house is accented with an inviting rooftop bell tower, reinforcing the authenticity and charm of the home.
- DETAILS & CRAFTSMANSHIP -
From authentic brick and woodwork to the fixtures and furniture that accent Villa de Inspiración, for a house that is grand in its presentation, these smaller details set it apart from the rest.
Every door, bed frame, and cabinet has been crafted and sculpted by the hand of an artisan, making each corner of the home unique and rich with personality. No two rooms are alike.
Every piece of tile has been meticulously placed. Wood beams in the ceilings and ironwork in the doors and bed frames have been aged with intention for a rustic, comfortable, warm feel. Absolutely no detail has gone unnoticed with Villa de Inspiración.

Wine and Gastronomy, Pairing Without Borders | Marco Antonio | TEDxMonumento258
The cultural ties and friendship between California and Baja California runs deep and includes the sharing, and pairing, of food and wine from both states. In this talk Marco Antonio invites people from both sides of the border to enjoy the blending of these two cultures, their respective wine regions, and unique gastronomy. He reminds us that the enjoyment of food and wine is not limited by the physical border that exists between San Diego and Tijuana.
Marco Antonio has served as L.A. Cetto winery events manager since 1998. He has a major in Administration in Tourism Business by the University of Baja California, as well as a diploma as a Sommelier studying in UC Davis California and Culinary Art School in Tijuana. Additional studies include tourism, food and beverages, public relations. As a speaker Marco Antonio has participated in over 150 events in the past 5 years, and is a founding member and President of the Sommeliers Association of Baja California.
