Balicasag Island, Philippines: A Sea, Air, and Land Experience
Balicasag Island, which is a part of the municipality of Panglao, Bohol, in the Philippines is an almost circular island with a diameter of about 600 Meters, located about 30 minutes away by boat, from Alona Beach or 18 Kilometers away from Tagbilaran City. It has white sandy beaches, and is surrounded by corals. A diverse range of marine wildlife can be found in the area and the waters surrounding it including, Hawksbill Turtles, Dolphins, and numerous fishes, thus making it a popular scuba diving and snorkeling location. This is a look in the little island, filmed from the sea, land, and air.

Balicasag Island Hopping From Panglao - Philippines Marine Sanctuary
From Alona Beach I did an island hopping tour that began in Panglao, that took us to Balicasag Island and onto the Virgin Island. Balicasag Island is a marine sanctuary and divers paradise in Philippines. The boat ride is about 45 minutes there, then 25 minutes to the Virgin Island on the way back. The tour itself is around about 500 PHP when you go in a group. This island group is just south of Bohol island.

Ever been to a paradise island with turtles everywhere? Well there are actually MANY here in the Philippines. One very well known island full of turtles can be found in Bohol. Therine and I had the best experience day tripping, swimming and exploring here.
Balicasag Island, Panglao, Bohol, is BEAUTIFUL. The colour of the water, the vibes of the locals, and the unique 360 degree beach, makes this truly a paradise place in the Philippines.
Have you been here before!? It is well known, and I can see why it has become such a tourist hot spot!

Bohol day 2. Panglao island hopping, We went to Balicasag island to swim with the turtle. We also stop at the Virgin island, it was awful. There were so many vendors on the island.There were some people drinking and smoking.

Snorkeling in Balicasag Marine Sanctuary - Bohol, Philippines!!!
The most amazing snorkeling experience in the Philippines was on our trip to Bohol Island. Bohol is one of the most popular destinations for tourists coming to the Philippines. This is also home to one of the greatest reefs in the Philippines: Balicasag Marine Sanctuary.
We took a snorkeling trip from Alona beach and spent a whole day on the marine park of Balicasag chasing turtles and a variety of colorful marine fish and corals.
