Fall Mountain Drive Into Helen, GA
Fall Season Mountain Drive Into Helen, GA
Leaving our cabin in Sautee Nacoochee from the south of Helen Georgia and driving Unicoi Turnpike ( 75 ) north into downtown Helen, GA., driving on South Main Street to North Main Street through town. This was filmed the last week of October 2015 during Oktoberfest
Helen is a city in White County, Georgia, United States, along the Chattahoochee River. The population was 430 at the 2000 census
Formerly a logging town that was in decline, the city resurrected itself by becoming a replica of a Bavarian alpine town, in the Appalachians instead of the Alps. This design is mandated through zoning first adopted in 1969, so that the classic south-German style is present on every building, even on the small number of national franchisees present (such as Huddle House and Wendy's).
Because of this, tourism is the main industry in Helen, catering mostly to weekend visitors from the Atlanta area and also motorcyclists who enjoy riding the beautiful roads of Helen and its surrounding areas during all seasons. Helen is extremely crowded in late October, when autumn leaves typically peak. It also hosts its own Oktoberfest during September, October and November. There are many events and festivals throughout the year. One of the most well-known is Southern Worthersee, which is a stateside Volkswagen and Audi event that pays tribute to the Worthersee Tour in Austria with attendance of approximately 20,000 people. Also the annual hot-air balloon race held the first weekend in June.
The main road through town is north/south Georgia 75. The Helen stream gauge (HDCG1) is located on its bridge over the Chattahoochee in the middle of downtown. A parallel route to the west is labeled Georgia 75 Alt to identify it as a bypass route around the town and its massive traffic jams in the autumn and on some weekends.
Unicoi State Park and Lodge, spanning 1,050 acres, is located immediately northeast of Helen on Georgia 356. The park encompasses Unicoi Lake, a 53-acre freshwater lake, offering outdoor activities for all seasons. Among them are a swimming beach, trout streams, wheelchair-accessible fishing docks, seasonal canoe, kayak and paddle boat rentals, seven picnic shelters with charcoal grills, three playgrounds for children, many spots for birding, 7.5 miles of hiking within the park (with adjacent trails in the Chattahoochee National Forest), 8 miles of mountain biking trails within the park, and plenty of places to enjoy the natural beauty of the lake and park. Unicoi State Park also offers lodging in several forms. Access to Anna Ruby Falls, part of the Chattahoochee National Forest, is located through the park.
In 1975, DOCUMERICA photographer Al Stephenson documented the life, recreation, and economy of the Helen area before and during the construction of Alpine Helen.

SOUTHWEST U.S. | cinematic travel video and roadtrip with hiking rafting horseback riding ballooning
Southwest United States cinematic roadtrip travel adventure video ( Utah and Arizona ) with hiking, rafting, horseback riding and a hot air balloon ride!
I took my nephew and niece on an adventure through the desert Southwest of the United States! We began in Las Vegas, where we witnessed Cirque du Soleil's Beatles Love show, the most exciting Cirque show I've ever had the pleasure to witness! The next day we began our trip to Capitol Reef, Arches, and Canyonlands National Parks. We drove to Lyman to explore Capitol Reef. Then off to Moab to see Arches and Canyonlands. While we were there we river rafted with Adrift Adventures and rode on horseback at Red Cliffs Lodge.

Continuing our adventure, we took highway 163 to Flagstaff, Arizona, which allowed us to witness Monument Valley, a Navajo tribal park which sits at elevation 5,564 feet and with sandstone buttes as tall as 1,500 feet. We also visited Bearizona Wildlife Park, where we saw native black bears, fox, bison and otters, and took a trip to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. We drove through the Red Rock Scenic Byway near Sedona, and even went for a hot air balloon ride with Red Rock Balloon Adventures, before flying home.
Our national parks and scenic areas are preserved for all to enjoy. Come get a taste of the old West and discover the four corners area for yourselves.
Footage includes the Delicate Arch trail, Red Cliffs Lodge, Colorado River, Monument Valley, Capitol Reef petroglyphs, raven, desert cottontail rabbit, and a red fox during the introduction. Capitol Reef, Gifford House, more of the Delicate Arch trail, Double Arch, more of the Colorado River, Red Cliffs Lodge horseback riding trail, Mesa Arch, Grand View Point Overlook, Artist Point Overlook, Aztec Butte granary, Monument Valley, hot-air ballooning near Sedona, the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, Desert View Watchtower, and Aztec Butte.

Hot Air Balloon Festival in Mesquite (Nevada, United States)
This annual festival occurs the last weekend in January and showcases hot air balloon launches each morning.
Brilliant displays of colored hot air balloons filled the Mesquite skies during the Hot Air Balloon Festival in Mesquite, Nevada.
More than 40 balloons chased the Stars and Stripes balloon during the race around the stunning valley. The evenings concluded with a balloon glow, offering a breathtaking view of the inflated balloons lit by their burners.

Hot Air Balloon Festival in the Jezreel valley
Hot-air balloon pilots from Israel and abroad dazzled onlookers at a colorful sky-high festival at Mount Gilboa.
Hot-air balloon pilots from across the United States and England, as well as Jordan, joined the fun in Israel during the October 2012 hot-air balloon festival in Ma'ayan Harod National Park at Mount Gilboa, sponsored by the Gilboa Regional Council.
To be here in Israel is just amazing for me, Florida pilot Steve Hoffman says on this video. The country is more beautiful than I ever imagined.
We all are here celebrating friendship and the love for hot-air ballooning, which is quite new in Israel, adds Amir Shemer, an Israeli pilot.
Festival Producer Shlomi Eyal notes the Jordanian and Palestinian participants. We have no borders [in the] sky, he says with a smile.

EXTREME TUBING at Olympic Park in Park City, UT
Check out all the amazing extreme activities at Olympic Park in Park City, Utah. This is my experience doing the extreme tubing down the K64 and K90 ski jumps.
Check out all the extreme activities Olympic Park offers here:
I went on a beautiful Saturday at 1pm and only waited about 15 minutes for each ride. Skip the lift hill and hike up - it'll save you about an hour per ride.
In case you're wondering, you start at the top of the landing hill, so you start below the actual jump. K64 and K90 refer to the distance (in meters) from the jump (our starting point) to that horizontal red line - 64 meters or 90 meters from the jump, respectively - the spot where skiers are anticipated to land.
The first one (K64) is fun. But the K90 is substantially more exciting. It's a lot faster. You can probably tell by my reaction after each ride. So if you go, definitely do the K90 as your second ride.

Downtown Park City Utah Real Estate | 801-820-0049 | 13 Things to Do in Park City This Summertime
Downtown Park City Utah real estate. and Blake Rounkles team explains 13 Things to Do in Park City This Summertime
Park City has long been known as an ideal ski community with a fantastic, historical old town packed with first-rate dining establishments, store purchasing, as well as a vibrant nightlife scene.
Naturally, it didn't take wish for the rest of the globe to figure it out either. The weather condition in Park City in the summer months actually can not be defeated. It's sunny with mid-day downpours, warm however not warm, dynamic however not crowded as well as merely typically ideal.
If you're intending your summertime visit to Park City, you might be questioning how you'll fill your days when you're not knee deep during that desirable Utah powder, yet trust me, you'll have sufficient to fill your itinerary.
1. Explore the Trails.
The International Mountain Biking Association (IMBA) awarded Park City as the initial Gold-Level classification in the country. If that doesn't state something concerning our tracks (all 400 miles of them), then your levels are possibly expensive.
If hill cycling isn't your point, shoelace up your hiking boots and bring your camera. You never recognize when you'll view a moose! Accessibility the trail system from Historic Park City or from the Town Lift.
2. Take in the Views.
Without the added job. Town Lift will certainly take you straight from Key Road up into Park City Mountain Resort. The lift runs all summertime long, so use it up, walk around at the top to obtain an impressive sight of the community, then use it pull back to snatch lunch!
3. Consume On Key Street.
Essentially on the street. Several restaurants set up exterior decks and seating outside so you can have a great view of Historical Key Road while you eat as well as take in some of that popular Utah sunshine.
No one said that aprés is restricted to the ski season.
4. Enjoy the Top.
If you really want the ultimate 'eating-on-the-street' encounter, Park City's greatest outdoor dinner party is happening on June 20th this year. Reserve your seat now!
5. Stroll the Galleries.
The last Friday of monthly from 6-9pm, wander Key Road to obtain a preference for the neighborhood art scene. Every month showcases various artwork, so make it a repeating conference in your calendar.
6. Get Foolish.
Every Sunday beginning June 7, meander to much lower Key for the Park Ridiculous Market. There are booths with artwork, merchants, meals and beverages. Also, every week, there is real-time music and also lots of that unique, Park City moving style!
7. Shop, shop, shop.
Whatever day of the week it is, there are lots of fantastic stores lining Key Road. The majority of these are owned by regional business - something you simply don't find that usually, so make sure you sustain them!
8. Kimball Arts Celebration.
One of my individual favored conferences in Park City is the Fine arts Festival. For one weekend a year (July 31-August 2), the vehicles on Key Street are changed with displays loaded with outstanding art work, musical acts and also food. Strategy your trip around this amazing conference to obtain a terrific feel for exactly what Park City is actually like. The earnings benefit the Kimball Arts Center - a neighborhood charitable facility for the fine arts.
9. Fourth of July.
Like I've pointed out before, marches are sort of a big deal in Park Cit, and also none are bigger compared to the 4th of July march down Main Street. Do not anticipate any kind of Macy's-style balloons, yet you'll absolutely see a great deal of local style and also merely ordinary ol' enjoyable.
After the last police vehicle roll down the street, follow the crowds to City Park to view the rugby games, the bands play and also the kids tasks. Be sure to come back to community at dusk to see a breathtaking fireworks reveal. Seriously, it may be a small town, but we know how you can do fireworks.
10. Develop Your personal Bike Tour.
Rental fee a bike and also trip the city on your own. Driving in a city you have no idea can be a little demanding, yet take your time on two wheels and also view what you intend to view.
11. Identify the Banksys.
The famous graffiti artist, Banksy, checked out Park City when his flick was premiering at Sundance in 2010 and he left his mark on the town. Three times. Go find them all (possibly while you're on your bike excursion?).
12. Discover the Past history.
Park City has a long past history. So it's not actually a shock that several of it is a little ... unsettling. Take a ghost trip of Park City to discover a few of these amazing (and frightening) parts of the past.
13. Keep the Night.
Whether a staycation or a trip, why not make a night or more of it? Remaining overnight in Historic Park City permits you to soak in the culture, the history, the shopping, dining and also more.

#9 Ruby Falls Cave, TN
Located within Lookout Mountain near Chattanooga, Tennessee, you find a spectacular 145-foot high waterfall. What makes this one so different is that it’s located underground, underneath a city. Experts say the cave has no natural opening … so it wasn't until 1928 that workers discovered a small passageway while drilling through the limestone, which led them to Ruby Falls Cave and the waterfall.
#8 Nine Mile Canyon, Utah
Reminiscent of Jeffers Petroglyphs in Minnesota, Nine Mile Canyon in Utah displays some impressive works of ancient art. The canyon actually runs about 40 miles long … and is known for its amazing displays of rock art within, much of it created by the Native American Ute (yoot) people and the Fremont culture. The artwork is so extensive that the location is often promoted as the ‘world’s longest art gallery’. Tourists and archaeologists alike will appreciate the shelters, granaries and rock art left behind by the ancient indigenous peoples.
#7 The Devil’s Highway (Route 666)
This might not fit the standard definition of a tourist destination, but it’s unique enough to include on the list. This highway which serves the Four Corners region was once known as US Route 666, or the Devil’s Highway … But because that particular number has so many arcane connotations, the route number was changed to US 491. It now runs through New Mexico, Colorado and Utah … some sights along the route include Mesa Verde National Park and the Abajo Mountains. If you have a supernatural experience there, let us know!
#6 Luray Caverns, VA
These unique caverns are found in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. First discovered in 1878, countless visitors have been attracted by the subterranean cavern system that features mud flows, stalactites, stalagmites, and mirrored pools. It all looks a little like Fraggle Rock. The major attraction is undoubtedly the Great Stalacpipe Organ, an electrically activated musical instrument that is operated by a console which taps stalactites of various sizes. That produces tones similar to bells or tuning forks.
#5 Garden of 1000 Buddhas, Montana
Really now, isn’t the state of Montana exactly where you would expect to find a spiritual retreat filled with statues of Buddha? It’s located inside the Flathead Indian Reservation in Montana, and offers an amazing sight. The 750-square foot monument area has a surrounding garden that is spread across 10 acres. Still under construction, the site will contain 1,000 statues and is intended to be a pilgrimage destination for the Western Hemisphere.
#4 Enchanted Highway, North Dakota
Constructed along a 32 mile stretch of a two lane highway in North Dakota, you’ll find the world’s largest collection of sculptures made out of scrap metal. A local artist started the project in 1989, and includes depictions of various animals, farmers and dinosaurs.
#3 The Ape Cave, WA state (thumb?)
Did you know that the longest continuous lava tube in the continental United States is found in Washington State? Located south of Mt Saint Helens in the Gifford Pinchot (pin-SHOH) National Forest, it’s a popular hiking destination and offers some spectacular views. Some visitors say they’ve even spotted Bigfoot in the vicinity of Ape Cave, so keep an eye out.
#2 Grotto of the Redemption, IA
Iowa might be one of the last places where you would expect to find an elaborate grotto of this sort. But West Bend contains the world’s largest man-made grotto. It’s actually a combination of nine grottoes that depict the life of Jesus. The huge collection of minerals, petrifications and fossils is valued at more than $4 million dollars. The grotto receives more than 100,000 visitors each year.
#1 Monument Valley, AZ
Any fan of classic western movies will likely recognize these majestic landscapes in Arizona … they’re pretty much synonymous with the open range and the Wild West. Monument Valley is located around 315 miles from Phoenix, near the Four Corners Area. And it’s well worth the trip, because it tough to take a bad picture here. A 13 mile scenic loop offers an amazing drive and plenty of opportunities for taking pictures. The Colorado Plateau is a collection of sandstone buttes made famous by director John Ford when he featured the locations in many of his westerns.
