What they Have to Say about our Cooking Classes Bali:
“Culture and cooking in Ubud”
Lisa W
from Adelaide, South Australia
This was my hands down favourite experience of our recent Bali adventure. If you are not staying in Ubud, Ketut and one of his drivers will come and collect you from your hotel for a small additional fee. My family (2 adults and 2 children, aged 13 and 12), were staying in Kerobokan, and the trip to Ubud took a long while, however we had the wonderful company of Ketut who was so friendly and genuinely interested in knowing more about us and sharing his own experiences around how he came to start up his business.
Ketut is very passionate about organic farming and changing perceptions in the wider community around the reliance upon pesticides to produce acceptable looking fruit. Our first stop was at a local market in Ubud. Here we had a look through to see all of the locally grown produce and an explanation of the types of ingredients that we would be cooking with that day. We were able to try a few fruits including snake fruit (which interestingly has a taste not dissimilar to pineapple). We then had a quick stop at the beautiful rice terraces in Ubud. A little further on, we arrived at the farm, where an outdoor kitchen is set up and we were welcomed by Ketut's family and given a refreshing ginger and lemongrass tea and had an opportunity to meet the other participants of the cooking school as they arrived.
What they have to say with our Cooking Classes Bali :
“Great experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 18, 2015
The class will take place outside Ubud, in a small village. That makes it all the more authentic, including the morning visit at the market. The setting is great, the equipment is excellent and the staff is lovely. Not to mention that good results are basically guaranteed. Everyone knows that Balinese food is amazing but the one I have prepared... is probably the best :)

The next day I found a small market in Jimbaran. The figure of selling a live chicken as it is comes a little glance. Buy chickens to write in prayers. Here you can see tourists who buy things and things. They buy these ingredients and go to learn how to make traditional Indonesian food. I was curious and decided to follow them. A traditional cooking classroom in downtown Jimbaran. It's like a belt, and it means I want my body and mind to be clean. It's a chef hat. I'm going to be a chef today. Today's food is Nasi Lange, a traditional Indonesian dish. First, the chef briefly explains the process of making the food, and immediately the participants cut the ingredients and prepare the dishes. We're ready. We're going to play with our dishes. It smells good. Indonesian fried rice. It looks clumsy but fun. Can I try it? I think I win. I guess it looks good, but what about the taste? I made it in the shape of a heart. The dishes I made for the first time are amazing to them too. It smells good. It's delicious. You eat it. Let's eat it. Looks like it looks better to me. Yes, but it's a little bit tastier than mine. It was really fun, and I can finally make my own nasi gorang! Thank you. Once you create it, you will receive a certificate of classical cooking. I enjoy it.

Terima kasih. Setelah Anda membuatnya, Anda akan menerima sertifikat memasak klasik. Saya menikmatinya.
